Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept in a 45x45ft 1 acre 2 acre octagon shaped containment area designed to simulate an environment similar to the savanna grasslands. The containment area is surrounded by a 30ft high concrete walls with cameras placed every 45 Ft. All normal flora must be replaced with plastic versions and must be replaced once every 38 days. Any animals or personnel seen entering the containment area without authorized permission are to be removed immediately and/or terminated. .SCP-XXXX is feed 150 lb of plant materiel provided by a feeder once a day comprised of grass.

Any Foundation personnel with proper authorization who enter SCP-XXXX's containment area must be equipped with a Level A Foundation Hazmat suit and maintain constant radio and video contact. Personnel are to remain no longer then 2 hour inside the containment area without changing hazmat suits to minimize the risk of harm. Authorization must be provided by Site Director ███. Authorization can only be provided to personnel with clearance level 2 or higher.

Personnel who enter Scp-XXXX's Containment area must also be equiped with A rifle A small fire arm¹ any fruit or vegetable has been tested for toxins, a 2 inch knife, a replacement camera and radio and a small vehicle for transportation.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a partially decomposed adult Loxodonta africana of indeterminable gender, though assumed to be female due its weight. Despite missing 47% of it's Vital organs including the left lung, stomach, and half of its brain, SCP-XXXX still retains full motor function. Any object within a direct 12 foot radius of SCP-XXXX will start to decay or rot at an accelerated rate, varying on the material of the object.

SCP-XXXX was discovered after reports of a zombie elephant surrounded by skeletons and rusted metals where found in the town of █████, Botswana. Mobile Task Force Beta-7 (Maz Hatters) was able to retrieve SCP-XXXX without incident.

Test 1 - 22/02/1982

Subject: Adult Rattus norvegicus
Duration: 5 minutes
Results: Major loss of skin and muscle tissue. Bone is exposed near skull and tail. Subject was terminated.

Test 2 - 02/03/1982

Subject: Infant Rattus norvegicus
Duration: 5 Minutes
Results: Major Loss of skin and muscle tissue. bone is exposed around the spine and hind legs. subject was terminated.

Note: "It seams that SCP-XXXX does not change the time experienced by the object, rather causes the object to immediately deteriorate, as if killing it instantly and accelerating its decomposition rate."-Researcher Bancroft

Test 3 - 04/03/1982

Subject: Bos (primigenius) taurus
Duration: 2 Minutes
Results: Minor loss of skin and muscle tissue. The udder had fallen off at the 1:27 minute mark but did not begin to bleed. Subject did not react to its injuries until reaching 12 feet away from Scp-XXXX, upon which it began to scream loudly and started bleeding. Subject was removed from containment area and bleed out after 4 minutes.

Test 4 - 28/03/1982

Subject: Three granny smith apple, hereby labeled Apple 1, 2 and 3
Duration: 4 Minutes
Distance: Apple 1 9ft/ Apple 2 6ft / Apple 3 1ft
Results: Both Apples 1 and 2 show an equal amount of heavy rotting and have started to grow mold. Apple 3 was eaten by Scp-XXXX 47 seconds into testing. After consumption of Apple 3, Apples 1 and 2 stopped rotting for 14 seconds.

Note: After looking at the footage again, it appears the apples did not stop rotting but rather began rotting at a slightly faster then normal rate. - Researcher Bancroft

Addendum: Following incident XXXX-30/4/82, firearms are no longer allowed inside Scp-XXXX's containment area. Any personnel who attempt to bring a fire arm will be terminated upon the discovery of said firearm.

Incident report XXXX-30/04/82: The following is transcript was recorded from security cameras around Scp-XXXX's enclosure

<Transcript Start>

(9:30 pm): Scp-XXX is sleeping on the north eastern side of the containment area, there is a small pond 13ft to it's left and a rock mount behind it.

(9:33 pm): A Man, later discovered to be a wildlife hunter named Jacob Maxwell, with a hunting rifle is seen climbing over the wall of the containment area, spots Scp-XXXX, climbs down the wall with a rope and places himself across the lake.

(9:34 pm): Maxwell fires 2 shots at Scp-XXXX's head. Both shots are immediately disintegrated once they reach 8ft away from SCP-XXXX. As Maxwell attempts to reload, SCP-XXXX stands up and starts charging at Maxwell going through the lake. Maxwell manages to take a single shot at SCP-XXXX before being impaled in the chest with its right tusk. SCP-XXXX slams Maxwell into the ground and steps on his upper torso, though seems to only apply enough pressure to keep Maxwell in place.
