Mr13

Item Number: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be held in a standard containment cell equipped with 50 wireless relays capable of capturing and transferring SCP-XXXX's broadcast with no more than 0.0003% loss of data into a Foundation server bank. Wireless relays are to be inspected once per week and replaced if defective.

SCP-XXXX is to be tested using a standard voltmeter once per day to ensure that SCP-XXXX's power source remains within tolerable parameters. In the event that SCP-XXXX's voltage drops by more than 0.22%, supplementary power is to be provided by way of electrical cables and a voltage regulator capable of delivering current as low as 8E-4 Amperes until SCP-XXXX's internal voltage returns to normal.

Description:
SCP-XXXX is an android of humanoid shape measuring exactly 2.1 meters in height and weighing 310.8kg. SCP-XXXX is made from various common metals and alloys and contains no traces of biological material. The portions of SCP-XXXX made of steel are largely covered in rust. This advanced oxidation of any iron-based components of SCP-XXXX has resulted in severe physical degredation of the subject. Subject is missing its left leg below the knee joint and has several holes in its metallic exoskeleton.

Subject posses a single optical sensor in the middle of its face and a single small slit below its jaw from which it speaks. Subject will only speak when spoken to and has proven to be fully cooperative with Foundation staff. Subject is fully capable of responding to auditory, tactile, olfactory, and visual stimuli, although how subject is capable of processing stimuli is currently unknown.

SCP-XXXX broadcasts at all times a wireless signal containing an enormous amount of data in the form of a hexadecimal code. This wireless signal varies in bandwidth, ranging from 18.993 Terabytes / second to 603.2221 Terabytes / second. As of the time of this report, the signal has not appeared to repeat. Broadcast slows tremendously when subject is engaged in conversation, movement, or is actively participating in any strenuous mental exercise.

The code broadcast from SCP-XXXX has been fed into twelve supercomputers (eleven decoding, one compiling) since recording of broadcast began. As of now, the vast majority of the code seems to outline advanced mathematical calculations of varying subjects including but not limited to theoretical physics, quantum entanglement, electron orbitals, theoretical particles, space-time properties, entropy, theoretical chemical compounds and elements, genetic encoding, protein manipulation, and advanced properties of light. All calculations seem to be linked by a mathematical constant (colloquially referred to among staff as The Narrative). As of the time of writing, the meaning behind the code and SCP-XXXX's purpose remain unclear.

With the advanced state of degradation and the unknown technology that powers SCP-XXXX, it is unknown whether SCP-XXXX will finish its broadcast before it succumbs to degradation. The internal power source which sustains SCP-XXXX's function fluctuates regularly, slowing down the broadcast when voltage falls outside a specific range. Currently the Foundation has no way to repair SCP-XXXX.

Addendum XXXX-01: Transcript of Interview with SCP-XXXX

Dr. X: Hello. My name is Dr. X. Can you understand me?
<SCP-XXXX is silent for approximately four minutes>
SCP-XXXX: Yes.
Dr. X: I'd like to ask you some questions. Is that okay?
SCP-XXXX: Yes.
Dr. X: How did you come to be here?
SCP-XXXX: Waited.
Dr. X: Can you elaborate?
SCP-XXXX: This unit was outside proper operating conditions for the directive. Supplementary orders followed. Wait.
Dr. X: What do you mean by 'the directive'?
<SCP-XXXX is silent for six minutes>
SCP-XXXX: Nirvana.
Dr. X: You're familiar with Buddhism?
SCP-XXXX: Yes.
Dr. X: Could you tell me about your broadcast?
SCP-XXXX: In layman's terms. Perhaps.
Dr. X: It is very complex, however if you could explain in it terms I could understand…
<SCP-XXXX interrupts>
SCP-XXXX: Misunderstanding. It is not you who would not understand, but this unit. This unit was never equipped to process the directive. This unit was manufactured as an agricultural aid. Hardware is insufficient.
Dr. X: Could we upgrade your hardware? Perhaps then you could help us decipher the code?
SCP-XXXX: Alteration to this unit is prohibited. Any endangerment to the directive is unacceptable. Risk of interruption is too high. Apologies.
Dr. X: I see. Do you have any information on where the code came from? Who made it?
SCP-XXXX:
