MTF-Chi-16 'XB'

Mobile Task Force Chi-16 specializes in Xenobiological Containment, which is a field spanning across many categories ranging from alien lifeforms to living beings from other realities or even possibly new types of synthetic (organic) life created by scientific methods.

It is this Xenobiological Specialty from which CHI-16 draws it's monicker, 'XB'.

CHI-16 is kept at around 13,000 members, which gives it a Batallion (or 'Branch') for each of the 7 continents including Antarctica as well as 6 additional "Flex Batallions" for when other teams are busy. However, even though each Branch has 1000 members, only about 400 of those are involved in direct combat (including driving vehicles) while the rest are dedicated to support duties such as Logistics, Intelligence, Engineering, or Political Activity.

Each of the 13 Branches maintains it's own Supersonic Interceptors armed with a variety of unconventional weapons, ranging from improvised death rays to nuclear and biological devices.

Ground Team members may be equipped with an array of items including but not limited to CBRN protection suits, heavy flamethrowers, nervegas grenades, stun prods, automatic shotguns with or without dragon's breath rounds, electrified net launchers, Anti-Material Rifles and grenade launchers with a variety of special loads.

XB Field Agents are known to prefer a form of armored CBRN Exosuits for operations in remote and hostile environments, such as Antarctica or while traversing an unknown and hostile dimension.

Among CHI-16's most potent tools are it's advanced Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), ranging from small wheeled drones to full size armed unmanned helicopters and humanoid battle droids. Because the MTF is often facing threats of a biological nature, it is sensible to use robots which are immune to biological infection whenever possible.

CHI-16 is larger than most MTFs, and follows an "Overwhelming Force" doctrine. It intentionally dedicates more agents to any given mission than the typical MTF would, because the majority of it's operations involve containing agents that might be infectious to the entire world should they escape.

Even a simple Alien wanderer with a broken down starship might be hosting a pathogen that to them is a cold, but to us is a great plague. For this reason, CHI-16 can not afford to fail - And if they do somehow fail, there must be contingencies and forces prepared to respond to the incident before it grows out of control.

CHI-16 remains one of the Foundation's largest and most heavily armed MTFs, because it's operations do not tend to focus on stealth. They tend to do their work either in secluded and hostile environments, or other dimensional planes entirely.

When blending in is required, CHI-16 prefers to pose as local organized criminals such as Yakuza, Italian Mobsters, Bloods, Crips, or Biker Gangs. This is because CHI-16 tends to make a lot of noise, and "A bunch of gangsters came and started shooting at each other then somebody blew the place up" is a fairly believable cover for why they might have to liquidate a housing unit infested with body snatchers.

MTF-SIGMA-6 'Flamingos'

Focusing on raw speed and power, SIGMA-6 is an entirely Airmobile MTF of roughly 1000 people. It's helicopters carry soldiers, self propelled artillery, APCs, tanks, jeeps, civilian cars, or anything else that is necessary. If it can't fit on a chopper, it will fit on a C-130. SIGMA-6 has a mesh network of well maintained bases around the world, which allow it's discreet but heavily armed force to respond anywhere on the planet within hours.

They are proficient in executing complex difficult mission requirements at the drop of a hat, but where SIGMA-6 really shines is in stealthy raids that have a long planning phase. Collecting intel about a target over a long period of time (hours, days, months, years) and then moving in for the kill (or capture) once you know every conceivable detail about what you are up against.

SIGMA-6 prefers to insert it's Ground Teams via helicopter or HALO when possible, but is also expert in underwater or land based infiltration.

Although their specialty is not Direct Combat per-se, for loud missions SIGMA-6 has a full range of heavy weapons platforms deployable via land, sea and air. They also specialize in working with certain SCPs that have proven useful for combat, and have a special Compliance Liason Team to ensure the containment and loyalty of the SCPs used in battle.

Never being willing to admit defeat, the Flamingos make use of nuclear submarines to bring mobile nuclear destruction to the enemies of the Foundation should the on-site WMD of any facility somehow fail.
