Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5055a and b are to be kept in a concrete cell with a length and width of 50 ft and a height of 20 ft. Each square foot of ceiling space will shine a 633 nm red laser straight down. There will be simple lighting provided, apart from the lasers, and heavily reinforced. There will be 1 security camera in each corner of the cell, protected by multiple layers of bulletproof glass. Simple furniture will be provided, with every part brightly colored and secured heavily to the ground. No food or water will be provided, since neither SCP-5055a nor SCP-5055b appear to need to eat. There will be one entrance/exit in the form of six doors, each with a separate lock and SCP personnel guarding it at all times. These personnel must be equipped with a tranquilizer gun with a laser sight. Any attempt at escape will be met with using the laser sight to find SCP-5055-b and shooting it until it remains dormant for at least 10 seconds. Any containment personnel guarding SCP-5055 must be of level 3 or higher, and any experimenting with it must be of level 4 or higher. All personnel must be wearing full body protection and nothing that is or can be worn around the neck.

Description: SCP-5055 is a being that has a separate holographic appearance (SCP-5055a) and invisible true body (SCP-5055b). SCP-5055a's appearance is that of a mature Asian male, with brown eyes and black hair. It appears to be wearing a plain red shirt and blue pants. Experiments have shown that, wherever SCP-5055a appears to be, SCP-5055b is found to be somewhere else, within 25 ft. SCP-5055b occasionally uses this to try and trick anyone near it to pay attention to their appearance, then attack them via grasping tight around their neck. There have been [x] reported incidents and [x] personnel killed via strangulation. Survivors of its attack claim that, while SCP-5055 looks human, its body feels prickly and rough, with no true shape.

Lasers with a wavelength of 633 to 650 nm do not pass through the body of SCP-5055, and instead reflect off of the body if the amount of surface area hit by the laser does not exceed 1 in². Any other light simply passes through SCP-5055, leaving no affect. Anything carried by the body can be seen, including if an object is inside the body.

SCP-5055b is prone to mood swings, where in one moment it will be dormant, and the next it will suddenly attempt escape or attack personnel.

Discovery: SCP-5055-a was first spotted on 02/15/20xx at 4:45 PM near Nagoya, Japan. SCP-5055b was discovered twelve minutes later, holding two people up by their necks. Witnesses say the victims were grabbing on to an unseen surface around their throats and pulling, but without success, dying in the air. SCP-5055 quickly fled, but was caught by personnel and brought to Site [x].
