SCP - 025C
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP - 025C is to be locked in a concrete chamber on Site [00] with metal doors and bulletproof glass on both the observation window and on the door. Personnel who enter SCP - 025C's chamber must not be accompanied, and must be wearing gloves of some kind at all times of contact. Any personnel wishing to enter SCP - 025C's chamber must have been given permission by two (2) Level Four (4) personnel, and must be in communication with one (1) Level Four (4) faculty member either through the observation room or through a radio headset.
Description: SCP - 025C resembles an American Quarter Dollar (25 cent coin), only with President George Washington's Eyes scratched out in a red fluid, and the coin itself being exactly 3/8ths of an inch bigger in diameter than its valid counterpart. Despite SCP - 025C's small size, it weighs approximately 20 lbs (9 kg). SCP - 025C appears to be made of nickel, but is entirely comprised of [Data Redacted], with the red marks on George Washington's face genetically congruent with the blood of [Data Redacted]. Any contact with SCP - 025C will cause the subject to effortlessly throw the coin with deadly force at the head of the nearest living creature (human or otherwise) with the force of each throw being the same regardless of the build, handedness, or species of the thrower. Contact has been attempted with SCP - 025C, but to no avail. Subject is presumed unable to speak.
D/025C/1 Experiment Report:
Date: [00]/[00]/[0000]
According to D Class personnel D/025C/1 who was instructed to inspect SCP - 025C, they retained no memory of contact with SCP - 025C. No memory of weight, texture, or the act of throwing was reported by D/025C/1. D/025C/1 did, however, report a dislocated shoulder after having thrown SCP - 025C at the wall of its chamber.
After closer examination, D/025C/1 was apparently attempting to throw SCP - 025C at a custodian in the hallway, only for it to chip the concrete wall and fall to the ground. The chip was 5 feet and 4 inches off the ground, later found to line up exactly with the upper part of the custodian's head at the moment of throwing.
In the case of SCP - 025C, "contact" is defined as a skin-to-surface touching. Thusly, D/025C/1 was invited back into SCP - 025C's chamber (after receiving medical attention for their dislocated shoulder) to pick up SCP - 025C while wearing latex gloves. D/025C/1 reported difficulty lifting SCP - 025C off the ground due to its weight. Before D/025C/1 placed SCP - 025C on its table, D/025C/1 was asked to throw SCP - 025C at the chamber wall once again. D/025C/1 made an effort to throw SCP - 025C, which resulted in SCP - 025C dropping to the ground only a few feet in front of D/025C/1.
D/025C/2 Experiment Report:
Date: [00]/[00]/[0000]
D Class personnel D/025C/2 was instructed to contact SCP - 025C several times during this experiment, which showed no changes in its effectiveness. D/025C/2 was also instructed to report any discomfort immediately for medical attention. For this experiment, D Class personnel D/025C/3 was instructed to stand in the hallway outside of SCP - 025C's chamber. Several items and nonhuman animals were placed in front of D/025C/2 behind ballistic glass, then an opaque steel plate, one at a time. In the event SCP - 025C was not to be thrown at the given item, SCP - 025C would then be aimed at D/025C/3, who was safely behind the concrete walls of SCP - 025C's chamber. Data from this point in the experiment is shown below.

D/025C/3 Experiment Report:
Date: [00]/[00]/[0000]
D Class personnel D/025C/3, after seeing the previous test, volunteered to test further on SCP - 025C. D/025C/3 was first put in a straight jacket with holes where the subject's hands should be, allowing D/025C/3 to pick up SCP - 025C. They were then tasked with picking up SCP - 025C after the room had been cleared of the six (6) accompanying Level Four (4) personnel. The personnel, now outside, heard SCP - 025C had been thrown against the wall of the chamber, and were allowed back inside. Upon reentry, all personnel including D/025C/3 reported seeing D/025C/3 standing amidst a torn open straight jacket.
SCP - 025C was safely placed once again on its table, and a member of the security staff was asked to handcuff D/025C/3. The same procedure was followed, and all outside staff reported not hearing the sound of SCP - 025C hitting the wall, followed by the agonized screams of D/025C/3. Upon reentry, all accompanying staff reported seeing a closed, bloody pair of handcuffs on D/025C/3's non-dominant hand, and D/025C/3's dominant hand in a pool of blood on the floor, still clutching SCP - 025C.
To date, no further testing has been performed on SCP - 025C.
Conclusion from Experiments: SCP - 025C, though malicious and able to possess others, is unable to move or speak on its own. Upon contact, subjects enter a "tranced" or "possessed" state. Subjects in this state will not walk from their position until SCP - 025C is thrown. In the process of throwing SCP - 025C, the affected subject will aim for the head of the nearest living complex organism. Affected subjects will not aim for non-complex microorganisms, inanimate objects, or nonliving organisms, but will aim at insects, small animals, onsite personnel, and other anomalous creatures onsite. After SCP - 025C is thrown, subects are no longer in contact with SCP - 025C, and therefore exit their affected state. Repeated exposure to SCP - 025C does not impact it's effect on subjects. Sight is not necessary for targets to be chosen. Subjects in contact are not able to self-terminate/target themselves. Subjects will not speak or answer questions while holding SCP - 025C. SCP - 025C will always be thrown regardless of the restraints used or potential discomfort/disfigurement/death it could cause the thrower.
