Unnumbered SCP

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Any current manifestation of SCP-XXXX is to be closed off from the public by a 1 km x 1 km area of wire fencing topped with barbed wire. Only personnel currently assigned to work on SCP-XXXX are allowed to enter this area. Any time SCP-XXXX demanifests the new manifestation must be immediately tracked down and fenced off. If possible, any residents of the building SCP-XXXX manifested in are to be retrieved, administered Class-A amnesiatics, and given psychological evaluations before being relocated. If two instances of SCP-XXXX are found to exist at the same time it is to be immediately reported to the foundation.

If it is impossible for the area to be fenced off then the manifestation must be heavily guarded at any entrances and windows, only allowing for necessary entrance and exit of SCP-XXXX until protocol XXXX-1 is performed, allowing for random relocation of SCP-XXXX.

Sometimes when SCP-XXXX demanifests it will not immediately remanifest. These periods can last as long as normal manifestation periods, which can range from 2 weeks at shortest natural documented manifestation time to 47 years longest documented manifestation time. During this time of "extraterrestrial manifestation", instances of SCP-XXXX are to be searched for constantly, with two to three times as many field teams searching for instances of SCP-XXXX than normal. If a manifestation is discovered during an extraterrestrial period, it is to be immediately reported to the current researcher in charge of SCP-XXXX. As of the time you are reading this, Doctor ███ Kriek is the researcher.

Any instance of SCP-XXXX-1 found outside of SCP-XXXX is to be immediately detained and relocated back inside of SCP-XXXX. If the particular instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is found to be mortally injured it is to be terminated on the spot. Otherwise, continue with relocation to the inside of SCP-XXXX.

As of ██/██/████, no further testing is to be done on instances of SCP-XXXX-1.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a phenomenon that can only occur once at any moment in time. The phenomenon occurs in anything that could be considered a house or building where all possible entrances have the ability to be closed. If these criteria are met, then there is a possibility that SCP-XXXX will randomly manifest within this "house", taking any objects or people and assimilating them into it's manifestation at that point. If SCP-XXXX demanifests, then any objects assimilated into it will de-assimilate and the "house" will return to exactly the state it was in before the manifestation of SCP-XXXX.

When SCP-XXXX manifests it will immediately create rooms, corridors and stairways in a similar style to that of the rooms already present in the "house" it is manifesting in. Each of these "rooms" will contain at least two entry/exit ways, which can be windows, doors and occasionally even vents. The amount of these rooms seems to start off small, but slowly increases over the time while the current manifestation is active. Despite the theoretically infinite space of the interior of SCP-XXXX, the exterior of the "house" itself never grows beyond its preexisting boundaries.

When entering SCP-XXXX, the entrance room is always the same, and is designated persistent room 1-A, but entering any doors other than the door originally entered through will lead to a random "room". Each time a door is entered, the room it leads to changes. The only acceptions to this rule are the entrances that lead outside of the original "house", which always lead outside.

Any attempts to harm or break any item that is part of SCP-XXXX at that moment will result in failure, and often breakage of tools used to attempt breaking SCP-XXXX.

Video recordings from the inside of SCP-XXXX appear to contradict one another, and each depend on where the person filming SCP-XXXX ended up rather than any other dictation. It appears that even multiple people will never end up in the same room, unless by pure chance.

Most rooms that manifest inside of SCP-XXXX are random, some will reappear more than once, but only in one manifestation. Some rooms are persistent, and stay with SCP-XXXX. Some persistent rooms will not appear for many manifestation periods, but will eventually resurface. Any changes such as writing or items placed in the room that are not removed before remanifestation become part of the room. There are 453 persistent rooms, 124 of which are pairs and 3 of which are perfect triplets. They are numbered from 1 to 389, the twins being referred to as A and B, and the triplets referred to as A, B and C. These rooms tend to be in different styles than the other rooms of the manifestation, and are easily recognized because of this property.

Occasionally, inside of SCP-XXXX there will be found incredibly misshapen and disfigured animals ranging from lions and dogs to fish and even humanoids. These have been classified as instances of SCP-XXXX-1. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 seem to be part of SCP-XXXX, and will travel with it during remanifestation.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 always appear as fleshy, hairless/scaleless/featherless and anemic counterparts to their resemblances of actual animals. Despite their ghastly appearance, and despite whatever nature the animal counterpart of SCP-XXXX-1 has, SCP-XXXX-1 will be incredibly friendly and docile towards humans and animals that approach it with peace. However, when provoked, SCP-XXXX-1 may become wildly violent, and has been known to [DATA EXPUNGED], leaving any provoker dead or mortally wounded. If an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is separated from the current manifestation of SCP-XXXX for extended periods of time, it will grow extremely irritable and eventually naturally hostile until rejoined with SCP-XXXX. If kept away long enough, it will eventually die of cardiac arrest or other stress related causes.

Any personnel who somehow survive a violent encounter with SCP-XXXX-1 are to be administered class-A amnesiatics and have their wounds treated, and soon after be given psychiatric evaluation and necessary therapy.

As of now, there are 645 separate documented cases of SCP-XXXX-1, 167 of which have gone missing and 78 of which are dead.

Addendum XXXX-A: Protocol XXXX-1

A way to force SCP-XXXX into remanifestation has been discovered. The requirements are access to persistent room 145-C and a reality altering object. Currently, the primary object used is SCP-184, but research into better, faster, and safer alternatives is underway.

Protocol XXXX-1 is to be performed if SCP-XXXX manifests in a way that it cannot be easily contained, such as in a dense neighborhood or an apartment complex.

Step 1: Send D-class personnel in possession of the room altering SCP escorted by no less than 3 guards into the manifestation of SCP-XXXX and have them enter and exit the same door back and forth until persistent room 145-C is accessed.

Step 2: Once access to persistent room 145-C has been gained, the D-class personnel must deposit the reality bending object into the room.

Step 3: The guards and the the D-class personnel must leave as soon as possible, going back and forth through rooms until the entry room is found or a window is found. If an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 that is known to lead those inside SCP-XXXX to an exit is encountered, it is to be followed.

For reasons unknown, SCP-XXXX is not resistant to change by reality bending objects, but will react adversely to their presence inside of it. When any significant change is made to a persistent room by a reality bending object, SCP-XXXX will revert the changes and reject the object. Persistent room 145-C has the property that reality bending objects will also cause remanifestation along with the typical rejection and reformation. Due to the dangerous nature of the reformation, the D-class personnel used to escort the item will likely end up being terminated during the protocol.

After protocol XXXX-1 has been performed search for the new manifestation of SCP-XXXX is to begin immediately.

Addendum XXXX-B: Notable Persistent Rooms

Persistent Room 03: A 3 meter cube of walls that are perfectly white and unstainable. Tests to do with writing or recoloring these walls in any way have failed, and anything plastered on the walls have vanished upon remanifestation.

Persistent Room 45-A and 45-B: First twin rooms discovered. Master bedroom with a queen size bed and mattress and a large 10 drawer dresser with a large mirror. The mirror is dirty and mucky to the point that no reflection can be seen in it. Attempts at cleaning the mirror have failed, and chemical analysis on the grime has lead to varying results, most coming up with unidentified compounds. No negative effects have come from contact with the grime.

Persistent Room 128: Resembles a metro station, particularly New York City Subway stations. Traveling down the tracks results in wrapping around to the other side after a seemingly random amount of time. This happens when traveling down either side. No trains ever come through the room, but sounds of a train often can be heard in it.

Persistent Room 145-C: Only known triplet room. Properties as detailed in Protocol XXXX-1. The 145 triplets are the largest rooms in the house, totaling at 956 square meters of floor space.

Persistent Room 246-B: Only twin known to differ in a significant way from it's twin. This room is featureless and follows the same patterns as other non-persistent rooms in the house, but is distinct by always having a 3 seated couch of some kind, being 5 meters by 5 meters by 10 meters in length, height and width and having a singular golden framed painting that resembles a bad Mona Lisa forgery. The difference between 246-A and 246-B is that in 246-B the painting is always upside-down, and can't be turned in any way.

Persistent Room 320: Nothing is special about this room in form or properties. However, it has been missing for 56 manifestations and counting. It has the longest record of a missing persistent room. Research is currently underway as to how this room has gone missing, and how it might have links to the █████ incident of 05/01/19██.

Persistent Room 367: The only known room with vegetation. It is a small 3 meter by 5 meter by 3 meter room, in which the floor is entirely grass. There is a white rose growing in the center of the room. Attempts to snip, root or damage the rose in any way has resulted in furious attacks from instances of SCP-XXXX-1 that manifest the instant the attempt is made. It should be noted that no attempts to study the rose in a way that would harm it should be made. Studies of the rose have found that many of it's cells and much of it's DNA resembles that of a human's. Despite the lack of light of any kind, the rose grows healthy. There is currently research as to whether or not this rose has connections to the disappearance of █████ Kriek, Dr. Kriek's son.
