Description: SCP-5056 is a dream, lasting approximately 35 minutes, that is periodically experienced by random members of the Foundation working at Site [REDACTED]. All instances of SCP-5056 occur between the times of 2:00 am to 3:00 am and affect only personnel aged 17 to 25. As of now, there have not been two or more simultaneous instances of SCP-5056. Any personnel that experiences SCP-5056 is to be designated as SCP-5056-1 until they are completely free of its effects, or until another personnel experiences SCP-5056.
Personnel that have experienced SCP-5056 recall themselves feeling a falling sensation, as if they "were skydiving". This sensation is felt for approximately 50 seconds until they come to an abrupt stop inside of an unknown, rectangular container. The exact size of this container is unknown, though its dimensions are estimated to be about 15 by 15 by 20 meters. This walls and floor of this container have been described as being "cold", "hard", and "metallic".
The subject will remain on this surface, in pitch black darkness, for approximately 10 minutes until the container suddenly begins filling with water. Subjects will experience a drowning sensation and will observe a pale, glowing, faceless humanoid figure swimming towards them.
Upon being touched by this figure, subjects will "wake up" and find themselves in one of two places:
Approximately 30 percent of subjects wake up in a bright room with white, marble walls. They will observe the figure, along with a deceased relative, silently standing at the side of their bed. Subjects who wake up in this room also recall the faint sound of bells and singing. The subjects will feel an overwhelming sense of comfort and safety before truly waking from their sleep.
Approximately 70 percent of subjects wake up in a dark red room with moldy stone walls. These subjects also observe the figure, along with a deceased relative. In contrast, however, subjects who wake up in this room recall faint screaming and crying. These subjects will experience a feeling of panic, fear, and remorse, before waking up in a cold sweat.
Subjects who wake up in the bright room experience increased focus, improved mood, and general happiness for 25 days following the dream. Subjects who previously were diagnosed with clinical depression and who wake up in this room are completely cured of the condition within 10 weeks of experiencing the dream.
Subjects who wake up in the dark room experience increased anxiety, a worsened mood, and extreme sadness for 25 days following the dream. About 13 percent of these subjects are diagnosed with clinical depression within a few months of having experienced the dream.
Note: All personnel within Site [REDACTED] are briefed about SCP-5056. However, this information seems to be temporarily wiped from the subject's memory once they begin experiencing the dream.
