Item #: SCP-5139 (Note that this item number is a placeholder.)
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5139 is to be kept within a 3 meter by 3 meter room made out of 3" thick concrete, and the inside to be completely painted with Vantablack. No light is to enter the containment chamber. A 2" thick metal door without glass is the only entranceway into the chamber. If personnel are to enter the containment chamber, bright light is to be exposed to the entryway until the door is closed.
Description: SCP-5139 is a bipedal humanoid, approximately 1 1/2 meters in height (exact unknown). The entity has been observed to blend itself to the coloration of the light within its environment. If exposed to light levels above dim, SCP-5139 will disappear from the environment and will reappear within a 1 kilometer range in an environment of dim light or darker.
If SCP-5139 is aware of the presence of a humanoid creature, the organism will follow the creature, but will remain out of its direct line of sight. SCP-5139 has been observed to move with supernatural speed to avoid detection.
If a humanoid entity is followed by SCP-5139, said humanoid experiences severe paranoia as long as SCP-5139 within 10 meters of it. D-Class personnel have reported symptoms of crippling anxiety when being followed, and the feeling of a human hand touching their shoulder, neck, leg or back. If exposed to SCP-5139 for over an hour, humanoids experience symptoms of insanity, increasing in severity the longer they are exposed. D-Class with pre-existing anxiety and/or heart conditions have been recorded to die of shock.
If SCP-5139 is exposed to a corpse (regardless of species), the entity will begin to consume the organs of the creature, but will leave the skin of the corpse.
SCP-5139 can only be observed through peripheral vision, although reaching conditions to observe it are hard to create.
