Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5174 is to be kept in a standard anomalous objects locker at Site-██ at all times. Any member of staff attempting to handle SCP-5174 must wear thick leather gloves to prevent any accidental bonding.
Description: SCP-5174 is a plain white T-Shirt with several faint stains around the neck and sleeves. The stains, first thought to be some form of sauce, were later identified to be human blood. The anomalous aspects of SCP-5174 begin once it is worn. Approximately 15 minutes after SCP-5174 is worn, it is bonded via unknown means to the wearer and can only be removed surgically.
After a day of being bonded to the SCP, individuals will begin to hear friendly sounding voices in their heads. Previous victims have described the voice as an 'imaginary friend'. The voice will give them helpful advice and comfort them when they are upset, angry or scared. Some people have reported the voice telling jokes and making fun of current events in order to gain the victim's trust.
After a week of being bonded to the SCP, the voice will begin to get more aggressive, insulting the wearer if they don't follow it's advice or encouraging them to make poor decisions, such as drinking excessive amounts of alcohol or taking addictive narcotics. During this phase, the voice will still attempt to be friendly on occasions, although it is rare.
After 2 weeks of being bonded to the SCP, the voice will become noticeably more hostile, actively saying extremely offensive things to the wearer or deliberately forcing the wearer to harm themselves by any means. Common means of self-harm include: Headbutting walls, punching themselves or sometimes even lacerating themselves with sharp objects.
After a month of being bonded to the SCP, the victim will be completely under the SCP-5174's control. At this stage, the shirt can be removed without surgery and the victim will have no memory of what they have done or what they experienced whilst under SCP-5174's influence.
