SCP-5537

Item Number: SCP-5537

Object Class: Thaumiel

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5537 is free to roam the facility, but must be escorted and watched at all times by surveillance and/or fellow doctors when he is out of his "living quarters". If SCP-5537 is to be contained, either from a more
agressive copy or any flashbacks occur, it is advised to take pictures of SCP-5537 and force him into a containment cell for he despises people taking picture of a so called "imperfect copy". SCP-5537 is to remain in this cell for 6 to 7 hours and to not be let out until further notice from [DATA EXPUNGED]. Once let out,
SCP-5537 can possibly enter a temporary coma and die within 2 hours of said event. If this is to occur, a team of doctors and security is sent to [DATA EXPUNGED] to retrieve a new copy of SCP-5537. This new copy must then report back to the
previous copy's position.

Description: SCP-5537 is a copy of one of the foundations doctors, Dr. Leonard Hamm. Much of the doctors documentation has been destroyed due to an outbreak at the [DATA EXPUNGED] in which over [DATA EXPUNGED] escaped or were neutralized.
The only piece of evidence that survived the outbreak that could explain Dr.Hamm's condition were the record files of the SCP's contained at the station prior to the event. The records have since been erased due to standard procedure, but they
did mention that SCP-1324 was present during the outbreak. Many theories and speculations have come around Dr.Hamm and SCP-1324, but all have turned up as just speculation because of the research on SCP-1324. If SCP-1324 is the
reason behind Dr. Hamm's many copies, it would explain the significant changes to each iteration that comes out.

Dr. Hamm's many versions all had notable differences to appearance and mood. Some have turned up shorter or taller, while others have different hair colors or personality traits. Despite the many incarnation's, none of which have actually captured
the original. The original doctor was approximately 5 foot 9 and weighed about 203 pounds, dark brown hair and a more focused mind. But the one after that was 6 foot 2 and weiged about 208 pounds, blonde hair and a less focused mindset.
All of them seemed to only last 6 to 7 months, but this most recent one has lasted well over a year and a half. What's also notable about this one is that it is the closest iteration of the original doctor to date. Appearance checks out and demeanor
is very similar to the original. However, this version is more focused on his work out in the field and is currently studying on how to neutrailze certain SCP's that are under keter class, while the original was working on containing them.

SCP-5537 has gone through multiple changes to his object class. The reason he is no longer under Euclid is because of his involvement with MTF Epsilon-11 in [REDACTED]. Despite him being classified as an SCP, Dr. Hamm is still a doctor of the
foundation, one of the higher ranking members as to date. The only why he is an SCP is because of the many versions that differ from the original. This most recent version has promise for it has lasted longer than the rest and is the closest the
foundation has to the original. An interview was held with this version after it exceeded the standard life expectancy of the rest. The interview goes as follow:

Interviewer: [So, Dr. Hamm. It is quite a surprise that you made it this long.]

Dr. Hamm: [Really? And here I was thinking over a thousand copies of me of died for me to get here.]

Interviewer. [Yes, well. I'm here to ask you some questions as to why that is. I'm sure that is perfectly reasonable… We would all like to know.]

Dr. Hamm. [I'm gonna stop you right there and answer all your questions for you. I don't know how this happened, I don't have any contol over it, I do remember my past iterations, and yes, I'm getting really tired of people asking me.]
Interviewer. [Is there a problem Dr. Hamm?]
Dr. Hamm [No. No, there is no problem. Just tired is all….Did you know they don't even write my name on documents anymore? They put me down as "The Million Man".]

Acts of agression were shown from Dr. Hamm in the interview., this most likely derived from mentioning this version's death. Despite this, Dr. Hamm went back to his work and currently sits as a high ranking doctor in the foundation and the longest
running version of him. His work has discovered how to neutralize over 15 keter level SCP's, thus the higher up's have deemed him "Too valuable to dispose of." Analysis on Dr. Hamm continues, but if one thing is for certain out of this: Dr. Hamm
is not going to die anytime soon.
