Item #: xxxx
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedure: SCP-xxxx maintains a basic containment procedure. This anomaly is to be held in a securely locked storage container. All testing involving SCP-xxxx should be approved by Level 3 personnel. Long term experiment requests (Those longer than 15 years) should be submitted at least two months before hand to ensure no time conflicts with current or pre-planned experiments. Testing is limited to D-Class personnel only.
Description: SCP-xxxx is an ornate oak coffin. Visual analyzation of the wood design dates the coffin to the early 17th century. Upon entering SPC-xxxx, the subject (now referred to as SPC-xxx-1 until exiting) will enter a coma like state until the coffin is opened from the outside. While in this state SPC-xxxx-1 will not age in any physical way, and will in fact report a feeling of rejuvination upon leaving the coffin, although any wounds or pre-existing conditions are not repaired or healed in any special way.
Discovery: On ██/██/████ in ██████████, Germany a small group of grave robbers contacted local police after discovering what they believed to be an individual buried alive inside of SPC-xxxx, which they were attempting to rob, however the grave was supposedly dated to be filled 2/18/1601, and had no observable signs of prior tamperment. Upon hearing of this discovery, undercover Agent ██████ who was posing as a local police officer suspected a possible SPC and swiftly reported the anomaly to Foundation personnel, who ran a false information campaign to discredit the discovery as rumors. The local police who responded and observed the anomaly, as well as the grave robbers, were administered class B amnestics.
The SPC-xxxx-1 instance initially found in SPC-xxxx showed no other anomalous properties, other than being many hundreds of years old. This led researchers to believe the Anomalous properties were caused by the Coffin SPC-xxxx.
Test Logs:
Test 1 - 3/1/████
Subject: Watermelon
Duration: 30 Days
Procedure: Wateremlon was sealed inside SCP-xxxx to determine longevity effects
Results: Rotten Fruit
Analysis: Perhaps longevity effects are only observable on humans, as observed with SCP-xxxx-1
Test 2 - 4/1/████
Subject: D-8991
Duration: 30 Days
Procedure: Equipment to monitor D-8991's heart rate, brainwave activity and metabolism in a wireless manner were attached. D-8991 then entered the SPC-xxxx.
Results: Upon closing SPC-xxxx, SPC-xxxx-1's heart rate slowed significantly, along with metabolic activity. Brain Waves measured showed patterns that matched that of a patient in a coma, and SPC-xxxx-1 held steady vitals for the duration of the experiment.
Analysis: Persons within SPC-xxxx maintain steady vital signs, and remained unresponsive to researchers commands. Longevity effects may be observed over longer timeframes.
Test 3 - 4/10/████
Subject: D-2991, 65 years of age
Duration: 10 years
Procedure: D-2991 was equipped with the same equipment attached to D-8991, and was placed into SPC-xxxx
Results: D-2991 held steady vitals at all times of the test, with minimal deviation over the course of 10 years. Upon exiting, D-2991 was unaware that time had passed, and showed no signs of aging.
Analysis: Unless proven otherwise, this SCP may be classified to Safe, and stored until further testing is requested. Please consult Chain of Command for requests regarding SCP-xxxx
