Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4XXX is allowed to freely roam Site-██. SCP-4XXX's bed is to be kept clean and a can of cat food be laid out in the Site-██ common room twice daily. All personnel may request a stress relief session with SCP-4XXX so long as they do not request more than one (1) per week.

SCP-4XXX is currently uncontained, any reports of an appearance by SCP-4XXX are to immediately be responded to by MTF Mu-9 ("Pussy Riot/Cat Scratch Fever") who are to contain SCP-4XXX by rendering unconscious with an aerosol anesthetic and transport SCP-4XXX to the nearest Foundation facility. At this facility, a temporary containment area will be established. this containment area will consist of a medium-sized room with the furniture removed. three (3) caretakers are to be in this room at all times serving in offset 8-hour shifts. at least two caretakers will always maintain eye contact with SCP-4XXX, and one (1) caretaker must always be providing SCP-4XXX with their full attention. SCP-4XXX is to be fed canned cat food laced with cat food Three (3) times per day. When SCP-4XXX disappears caretakers are to immediately report to MTF Mu-9 the exact time, location, and actions, of SCP-4XXX at the moment of disappearance. this temporary containment will be kept on hold for no less than a month before being decommissioned.

Description: SCP-4XXX is an adolescent male specimen of Felis catus (house cat) of unknown breed. SCP-4XXX has a semi-longhair light-cream coat and silver ghost-striping. SCP-4XXX has the ability to teleport instantaneously across any distance, research into whether SCP-4XXX needs to view a location before teleporting there is ongoing.

SCP-4XXX was recovered by researcher Warren on 09/27/20██ at 21██ hours in the site-██ parking lot on the way to his car leaving work. Researcher Warren encountered SCP-4XXX at seven (7) weeks foraging from a site-██ exterior dumpster, assuming SCP-4XXX to be a feral kitten that wandered onto foundation property researcher Warren took SCP-4XXX to his house to care for. SCP-4XXX's anomalous properties were discovered on 10/02/20██ when researcher Warren attempted to remove SCP-4XXX from a Euclid class experiment observation chamber within site-██ after SCP-4XXX nuzzled on his leg after this incident SCP-4XXX was moved to a Safe class domestic containment kennel in site-██ and the original containment procedures were put into effect.

SCP-4XXX served as Site-██'s mascot before containment was stepped up and MTF Mu-9 have set up their command center on site. SCP-4XXX views the Foundation as its home and will often appear at Foundation sites begging for food or laying on staff's office terminals.

Incident: While reviewing the security tapes of a containment breach by SCP-[Link] on 11/27/20██ junior researcher J████ noted a small white animal in SCP-[Link]'s containment cell. the animal has since been identified as SCP-4XXX.

0003: SCP-4XXX first appears in SCP-[Link]'s containment cell.
0012: SCP-4XXX is seen to pounce on SCP-[Link]'s extremities as a form of play.
0013: SCP-[Link] does not take kindly to SCP-4XXX's actions and attempts to attack it.
0016: SCP-[Link] appears to become flustered at the impossibility of catching SCP-4XXX driving it to breach containment.
Camera was damaged in the breach and stopped recording at 0020.

Reaction: Following this incident staff were assigned to go through security footage in search of other instances of SCP-4XXX to date ██ connections to containment breaches have been made █ of which were major breaches and ███ unsanctioned SCP interactions.

Incident: Foundation staff veterinarian Dr. ████ was called to Site-██ to neuter SCP-4XXX as with standard cat care procedures. While performing the procedure Dr. ████ found that whenever he attempted to make an incision with the scalpel SCP-4XXX would teleport approximately one (1) meter away to avoid bodily damage even when placed under the effect of a general anesthetic.

Reaction: Follow up testing has proved that SCP-4XXX will always teleport away from any damaging actions before any harm is done even while unconscious. because of this SCP-4XXX is reasoned to lack the pain response required to form a sense of danger.

Message: The incidents surrounding SCP-4XXX show a lack of understanding of the Foundations classification system on the part of a great many staff. SCPs are classified based on their ease of containment nothing else; just because an object is "Safe" does not mean it is safe, and being harmless is no reason to give it a Safe classification. in this case, SCP-4XXX is not only uncontainable but also impossible to neutralize. This incident shows why Foundation containment procedures are more than "bag and tag" because of the nature of these objects containment without proper understanding can have extremely dangerous consequences a fact that many have failed to learn despite the Foundation's track record with incidents like this.
