Special Containment Procedures: Due to its high risk of addictive use, only personnel above Level 4 with O5 approval are granted access to SCP-XXXX for personal aesthetic use. Only mutations within a reasonable limit are permitted, for exaggerated customisation is grounds for immediate termination. The use of SCP-XXXX for healing purposes, for example amputees, is discontinued for the replacement organs and tissue are often much weaker and prone to infection. Use of SCP-XXXX for enhancing MTF Personnel is ongoing testing, although increasing the strength setting must be limited to D-Class personnel. SCP-XXXX must be kept plugged in when experiments are planned, as it needs a few hours to recharge after use. Class-D Personnel must be put on close guard or terminated after testing.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a small, black metal booth measuring 274 cm high, 100 cm wide and weighs approximately 1,250 kg that can be plugged into a wall socket. Testing shows no anomalous properties on its exterior. Upon paying the $20 fee (either by card or cash) and entering the booth, the subject will have the opportunity to close the door and lock it. It is impossible for the machine to work without paying, and locking the door. Attempting to breach the door when the customisation happens is forbidden, in fear of damaging the apparatus and thus preventing further testing (see Incident:12A-36). Therefore it is suggested to implant cameras within the subject(s) inside to observe it, although such camera will instantly shut off once all settings have been chosen. Despite its relatively in-advanced look, all attempts to hack the computer have proven unsuccessful. The machine can only be used once every 12 hours, as it requires time for maintenance and recharge.
When the door has been locked, the subject will be presented with a computer touch-screen, which will display 'The Factory' logo. The logo will fade to black, and will be replaced by the words
'Customize Your Character'. A window will open, asking if the subject in question is male or female, in which the subject can click any answer, although if they choose the incorrect gender, the screen will freeze for a few seconds until the subject chooses their correct gender. There is no option for other genders (eg. genderqueer) and therefore it is recommended to choose the biological birth gender.
If the subject in question is an amputee or is missing parts of an organ for example, a small window will first display: 'You appear to be missing […]. Would you like a replacement?'. If the subject selects Yes, the tissue will almost instantly regenerate. This extends to implants; they will be dissolved and replaced with living tissue. However, the new tissue will often be much weaker - the skin will easily cut and bruise, the muscles unable to grow above their normal density and the bones will be brittle and be less flexible. Controlled exposure to SCP-427 seems to be effective in improving the tissue strength to its original quality. The mechanism does not appear to recognise already damaged or partly missing tissue, instead requesting to only heal tissue that has been completely removed from the body.
At this point, the screen will display, in letters, different clickable menus. In order: Hair Style, Hair Colour, Eye Colour, Clothing, Face, Skin Colour, Body Shape, Height, Torso, Legs, Arms, Hands and Genitals. Most items are free, but some are 'premium' or 'deluxe' and have to paid for in the coin or card slot next to the screen. At the same time, a complex set of laser-technology based apparatus will light up on the ceiling. The subject may choose to exit the booth at any time, although the setting choices will not be saved for that particular person.
Here is an example of the settings:
Hair Style - The subject will be able to choose from over 120 hair cuts and styles of fashion
Hair Colour - The subject will be able to choose from a range of colours from ambiguous to
the precise, including rainbow and vantablack.
Eye Colour - The subject will be able to choose a wide variety of colours.
Clothing - The subject will be able to choose from a wide variety of clothing items, from a
wide variety of materials and including hats, belts and shoes.
Face - The subject will be able to change facial structure including the length of the nose,
taint of the lips and the jawline.
Skin Colour - The subject will be able to choose from a wide variety of colours
Height - The subject will be able to input a selection from 60cm to ███cm.
Body Shape - The subject will be able to change his body shape from skinny, to ripped,
muscular or fat or a combination. It is to be noted that there is a 'balance' setting for height
and body shape for more aesthetic results, but it is optional.
Torso - The subject will be able to more specifically edit the torso
Legs - The subject will be able to change the length and width of the legs, as well
as elasticity, density and skin width. Subject is able to get customised shin implants.
Arms - The subject will be able to change the length and width of the arms, as well
as elasticity, density and skin width.
Hands - The subject will be able to change the length, number and width of the fingers,
as well as elasticity, density and skin width of the hands. The knuckles can also be
replaced with titanium for a payment of $3.99, diamond for $6.99 or a super-hard one of anomalous composition for $12.99. It should be noted that these are entirely bio-compatible and cause no side
effects.

When the subject has completed filling out the settings, he will be prompted with a 'NEXT' button. Upon pressing this button, they will be presented with a selection of three settings. They will have 15 upgrade points available, as well as a 'RANDOM' button at the bottom which will input a random selection of points to each setting. The three settings are as follows: intelligence, charm and strength. Each setting always has 5 points as default. Upgrading and downgrading the settings will result in changes in the subject's physiology. The point system is based on the subject's existing physiology, so for example an already more muscular subject will always be stronger than an already less muscular subject, as long as they have the same number of points.
After selecting all desired characteristics, the subject will be prompted with a 'TRANSFORM' button. After this, any camera inside the booth instantly stops working, presumably due to the lasers interfering with the camera. Therefore, it is difficult to know what exactly happens in this stage. As well as this, all subjects do not remember the procedure, leading some to believe the machine gives some sort of amnestic to the subject after the procedure is completed. However, all subjects seem to specifically remember that it was painless and even sometimes pleasurable (notably when changing the Genitals settings). Therefore, Class-A amnestics are to be delivered to non-Class D subjects shortly upon exiting to prevent addiction.
Addendum 1: Experiment Log
Subject: 23 year-old hispanic female
Input: 156cm tall, short brown hair and slightly overweight
Output: 175cm tall, long blonde hair and underweight. Massive increase in charisma noted.
Subject: 75 year-old African-American male
Input: 180cm tall, bald, muscular and missing one arm and three dental implants
Output: 190cm tall, short brown hair, slightly lower bodyfat percentage with one replacement arm.
Note: Subject died after 10 days due to infection originating from the replacement arm. Amputees are now discouraged from using the replacement function, unless it is the specific aim of an experiment.
Subject: 52 year-old Caucasian male
Input: 192cm tall, nearly bald, overweight with a 28% bodyfat percentage
Output: 192cm tall, brown crew-cut hair, very muscular with a 7% bodyfat percentage. Massive increase in strength; subject managed to overpower personnel and incapacitate 6 nearby guards. Subject was captured soon after and terminated.
Note: MTF Personnel has been requested to guard the room, for increasing strength seems to also cause agression in subjects. Containment procedures have been updated.
Subject: Dr. Millan
Input: 174cm tall, short brown hair, healthy weight
Output: 190cm tall, long brown hair, muscular. Vast improvement in the ability to complete complex Sudokus, with an average time of 40 seconds.
Note: Dr. Millan has been banned from the annual Sudoku competitions indefinitely.

Subject: MTF Personnel
Input: 195cm tall, brown crew-cut hair, very muscular. Given $60.
Output: 210cm tall, brown crew-cut hair, extremely strong, with diamond shin, knee, knuckle and elbow implants. Slight decrease in intelligence noted.
Note from O5-2: Further testing with SCP-XXXX to create superstrong MTF personnel has proven to be a success. This should be useful.
Subject: MTF Personnel
Input: 200cm tall, bald, slightly muscular. Given $60.
Output: 220cm tall, bald, very muscular. Subject was very agressive, and managed to knock Dr. █████'s head off with a single kick. Incapacitated XX personnel and was terminated.
Note: It is unknown why increasing strength seems to create agressive symptoms, although research is ongoing. All subjects except Class-D must be disallowed from increasing their strength.
Subject: MTF Personnel
Input: 187cm tall, nearly bald, muscular. Given $60.
Note: Subject was told to not increase strength in fear of agressive symptoms.
Output: 195cm tall, short hair, lower body fat percentage, with diamond knuckles and titanium shin implants. Increased intelligence and charm.
Addendum 2: Recovery Log
SCP-XXXX was found in a bowling arcade in ████, Arizona on 07/09/2███ after rumours of 'muscular supermen' killing bears with their bare hands. Photos and videos of the event were confiscated and the local town delivered Class-A amnestics.
Addendum 3: Incident:12A-36
After a D-Class subject entered the booth, a drone carefully cut an incision in the door to observe the inside. The light inside instantly shut off, and the D-Class subject was found badly mutilated. The machine was unable to work again until properly sealed.
