A lead lined locker is to be maintained on site for long term storage of SCP-XXXX to prevent interactions with other electromagnetically sensitive objects.

Description: SCP-XXXX superficially resembles a black [modern/antique/average, needs picture pickings] table lamp. The light-bulb remains illuminated despite there being no observable source of power or any such physical connections for the light-bulb. Once removed, the bulb ceases being supplied with power. It has been confirmed that the socket produces a constant localised EMF1 which powers the bulb. Additionally, when SCP-XXXX is introduced to an electronic device within approximately 6 meters it will begin to power or charge the device to its standard requirements up to 280 Volts2 and not exceeding a total requirement of approximately 30 Amps3. When under load, the EMF produced in the socket weakens, giving an apparent indication of SCP-XXXX's electrical limits. It has been determined that SCP-XXXX uses induction to power these devices, however the exact mechanics of how it determines the exact electrical needs of these devices is unknown. Tests are ongoing to determine the limit of how much power SCP-XXXX contains, though it has been hypothesized that, since it has no detectable connections to an outside power source, the object contains a perpetual motion machine and as such would not have limits.

The exterior material SCP-XXXX is constructed of exhibits a hardness exceeding at least 2000 HV4 and a tensile strength of at least 60,000 PSI5. It was decided that any further testing of the object's physical limits could damage or destroy it, and, due to its current moderately useful nature and potentially extreme value as an infinite energy source, such testing has been halted. It should be noted that there was no observable damage to the exterior of SCP-XXXX from these tests.

Acquisition: While the object itself has been determined to be devoid of malicious secondary functions (such as data transmission through electronic or thaumaturgical means), the object itself was found in an as of yet unused containment cell with a handwritten note attached.6 Forensic analysis of the note, object, as well as the interior and exterior of the cell revealed nothing of use. Additionally, all security footage of the interior of the cell had been wiped from local memory storage and backup systems. The camera itself was found to be disabled upon discovery but it is unknown when this occurred. No other security breach has been found.

Review of security logs after [incident 1] have determined that the entity security forces encountered and engaged was previously contained inside of SCP-XXXX. The object has been damaged beyond repair, and its inner workings determined to be non-anomalous in nature. The material of the object's chassis is presumed related to the entity it once contained and, as such, the resulting entity is to now be considered SCP-XXXX.

Special Containment Procedures: When an instance of SCP-XXXX is not assimilated with a test subject, it must be kept inside of an electrified standard steel lockbox7 airtight glass container with walls at least 0.1 meter thick and dimensions resulting in a volume that exceeds at least 10 times the SCP-XXXX instance's approximate volume. Containers should be kept on a thin raised pedestal sufficient to support the weight of the primary container. As well, primary containers are to be kept in sight of the enclosure's cameras and inspected once a week for signs of extreme corrosion and, if the the damage is too extensive, replaced entirely. Additionally, the container should be partially filled with large disposable objects8 as this has shown a general reduction in frequency of [minor containment breaches, needs an incident name]. In the event of a [minor containment breach]9 the floors, walls, and ceiling of the enclosure surrounding the glass container must be electrified to subdue the instance of SCP-XXXX while a new glass container is prepared. Once the replacement container is prepared, the enclosure may be de-electrified while security personnel enter then replace the instance into the new container.

When assimilated with another living entity, the pair should be kept in a minimum of a [baseline anomalous humanoid enclosure? NEED NAMES DAMNIT I AM BAD AT NAMES] with specific modifications made depending on the pair's specific anomalous emanative effect. Otherwise, all previous requirements for the individual's containment should also be met. Post [incident 2], all testing with D-Class individuals is suspended and all previous test subjects with an instance of SCP-XXXX assimilated with a portion of their body must have said instance removed as soon as possible. Preferably, this process should be facilitated by coercing the subject into desiring its removal and thus effecting its natural separation. However, surgically removing the instance or even terminating the D-Class personnel to retrieve it are permitted if the subject cannot be coerced into the correct state of mind for the instance to naturally separate.

Description: SCP-XXXX exhibits near complete absorption of light and radiation across the whole spectrum as well as a mild corrosive effect on all other forms of matter in direct contact with it. This has hindered testing of the specific mechanics of the subject however it is hypothesized that this absorptive property is how the subject gains mass. When an instance of SCP-XXXX is exposed to a wound on another entity, the instance will attempt to assimilate with that entity. It is unknown by what mechanism SCP-XXXX maintains or disengages its assimilation with another entity. It has been determined that the specific emotional response to an instance of SCP-XXXX assimilating with it will determine whether or not said instance remains assimilated with a subject. Extremely negative emotional responses disallow assimilation entirely, negative emotional response allows the instance to repair apparent minor damage on the assimilated area and then disengage with a minimum amount of mass, neutral emotional responses allow for permanent assimilation and full restoration of the assimilated areas, and positive emotional response causes the instance to "spread," converting adjoining tissues. It is currently assumed that the instance will completely convert a subject that has a constant positive emotional response to the conversion.

Non-assimilated instances of SCP-XXXX are aggressive and regularly attempt to breach containment have been universally shown to possess a basic level of cognisance, awareness of their immediate environment, and what has been described as a general curiosity. All instances of SCP-XXXX demonstrate aversion to electric shock and can be contained utilising this interaction. While all non-assimilated instances of SCP-XXXX have demonstrated a physical hardening and pain response to electric shock, instances assimilated with another entity behave more like a true part of the subjects body than a non-assimilated instance of SCP-XXXX. Subjects assimilated with an instance of SCP-XXXX have indicated that, aside from a highly disproportionate level of pain when the assimilated instance is shocked and a general increase in physical resistance and ability, the instance behaves as would be expected of their baseline flesh. Additionally, subjects who undergo a sufficient amount of conversion have all demonstrated an anomalous emanative ability, differing from subject to subject. It is unclear whether these produced effects are random or if there is some other criteria that explains the variation from one subject to another. It was hypothesized that the subject's overall mental state is the deciding factor to what effect this will be. However, there is not enough data to determine if this is truly the case. Regardless, SCP-XXXX must be sequestered away from hostile sapient SCPs10 as their assimilation with SCP-XXXX could prove catastrophic.

Addendum: While SCP-XXXX was initially designated Keter due to its extreme strength for its size, amorphous nature, and tendency to easily breach previous containment methods beyond the most recent previous and current methods, SCP-XXXX has shown to lack inherent hostility when not assimilated with another living entity and when assimilated to act exclusively according to the other entity's will. As such, SCP-XXXX has been redesignated Euclid. Portions of the most recent previous version of the article have been maintained in this revised version for posterity after [PRIMARY RESEARCH GUY]'s death during [incident 2] as well as to give an idea of what SCP-XXXX can breach in the long term and potential methodologies to deal with an instance that has breached the enclosure.

Aside from personnel's obligation towards maintaining the veil, known dangers include, but are not necessarily limited to, extreme susceptibility to electric discharge experienced as pain [described as dental work without anesthetics] and, in the worst case scenario, the SCP-XXXX equivalent of complete brain death. Additionally, fully converted individuals have shown a steady increase in mass over time and may require regular excisions from their body in order to maintain an acceptably low weight. in the cases of elements, they define the elements of skills available as well as ailments/utilities/resources the player has access to aka no one can have access to everything and will frequently need things that cannot be obtained by oneself. for type, they would define the kinds of skills available (damage/destruction, aoe, single target, creation, buffs, movement, cc (hard and soft) and specific methods of acquiring resources (ie, mining hard ores like iron would require power but mining soft ores like gold would require less power but also cc), and finally wellsprings would determine resource replenishment/generation/acquisition as well as specifically what kinds of edible items you can safely eat (ie, most have major detriments to those without the correct minimum wellspring alignment). basically, the wellspring disposition would define the "supports" available to the aforementioned skills

in all cases, a true neutral stance on any one of these three selections would grant the player access to all effects of that selection and grant the player access to "omni" tags which would serve as the neutral mechanic in lieu of specialization's inherent access to higher tier magics. with omni, all tags affect all elements/types/wellsprings however with extremely diminishing returns for each tag beyond the current in progress tier. omni tags would also exist as a means to bolster such groups but would be difficult to acquire.

specialization benefits would include higher tier spells and such as well as the possibility of access to ultimate spells which will be abilities bosses make use of. additionally, meta builds may be carved out of the game and repurposed into an ultimate ability. such spells would be utterly unique and require a very high meta-tag count as well as having defeated the boss which makes use of said ability for the player to have access to it.

in the backend, the more overlapping meta tags the player has for a line of skills the higher tier of magic in that line they could access. having several "fire" tags would increase the average tag count so skills a player normally wouldn't have access to would be usable with a sufficient specialization in an element. so long as the average tags exceeds the tier of the spell, the player could use it, so even with an extremely hyper-specialized build you would have access to lower tier utilities/buffs/ccs of the main element.

the idea of this system would be to allow adding more spells/abilities/dispositions seamlessly so as to ease future development efforts as well as to help mitigate long term issues for maintenance.

all monsters/enemies/bosses will make use of the exact same system as players with the only exception being able to have negative disposition and thus more minmaxed dispositions but with the tradeoff that negative disposition would apply detrimental effects towards those same dispositions (ie, something with negative disposition towards ice would take significantly more damage from ice as well as having ice-element effects last much longer)

actual leveling should be separated into three aspects: mind (type), body (elements), and soul (wellspring). each would have its own leveling methodology and all would affect your ability in combat. your initial disposition would define how fast you level as well as access to such spells/effects. going all in on fire and damage would mean that you mind and body would level very fast while using damage fire spells but without utilising a sufficient amount of resource restoration items/effects soul would be left in the dust.

the player's level should be defined as the total levels across all three stats with each providing access to tags and baseline stats (ie, mind should affect resource consumption and accuracy, body total life and the power of effects, and soul total mana as well as resistance to resource drain and CC effects?) as well as increasing the amount of experience one needs for the next level of all three when one advances through a minor stage. however, passing through a major stage would require a minimum player level before being able to pass through.

STAGE RESULTS MAY BE DISCARDED AND REDONE ANY NUMBER OF TIMES TO ADJUST THEM BUT ALL AFTER THE FIRST WILL REQUIRE INGREDIENTS AND EFFORT! THE FIRST WILL BE THE MOST IMPORTANT AND LEAST DIFFICULT, DEFINING THE PLAYER'S ALIGNMENT AND THUS ACCESS TO SPECIFIC MAGICS, ALL OF WHICH SHOULD BE VISIBLE TO THE PLAYER AT THIS TIME

ok first up, treat the internal planet (ala wuxia) resource system like an idle game. while not actively interacting with content, content produces slow/medium resource generation depending on diversity and tier. being present in the world will increase the rate of resource generation and actively participating in farming will increase the rate further. (ala, runescape's farming animals, albeit less intensive per animal but being more intensive in actually raising them) resources the player can generate (and farm in the real) will be defined by the cultivator's (need a neutral name for this like exile is to PoE) affinity alignments (which should show what you can and can't farm as well as the benefits/detriments of doing so as well as things you can and can't do. maybe incorporate a system for respeccing this choice and others like it?).

additionally, this "internal world" is where the player will be able to store unique artifacts which provide passive buffs. artifacts exclusively affecting the internal world will be unlimited (aka when you get em they will always be active, think hideout decorations) whereas artifacts affecting the real or the player's stats will be limited, requiring shrines to be built to enable activation of more artifacts.

real world artifacts will take the place of flasks (ala poe) and as such provide on demand healing, utility, passive regeneration, or other effects which make sense as skills BUT should be available to anyone (travel abilities will go here, culling strike, guard skills, phasing, defy-death kind of things tho these should be consumed on death and otherwise unusable) though having them overlap with other defensive effects will also be acceptable (ie, leech, regen, healing and so on). the crafting of these artifacts (as well as player made ones for use in the internal world) should be significantly more in depth than the crafting of other gear and as such provide a huge potential source of power any player can use. however, like with resource acquisition, the player's affinity alignments will define what they can craft in the first place. this particular design decision is meant to ensure a minimum amount of trade between players as well as consumption of resources for leveling new characters meant for combat or crafting (or both if they can manage it)

as for actually crafting artifacts, there should be at least 3 levels of choices for main components defining what the resulting artifact will look like. for lack of a better analogy, handle, blade, hilt, and pommel. each variation to fill one of those slots should also have variety in crafting, defining aspects of the intended effect (intensity vs duration vs range and so on). components should also be interchangeable in certain instances, a handle could be used for a sword or for a gong, a "pommel" could be used for a flying dagger (applying a specific debuff or culling strike to a single enemy or chain through a group of enemies and so on) OR as a totem for a miniature shrine (kinda like treasurer meng's house forcefield thing).

artifacts should not have a 3D model, but rather indicate what they are through small chests or lockboxes (so the model is simply a box on the floor rather than whatever horrible abomination can be created by rng)
