SCP-XXXX
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Elucid
Special Containment Procedures: To minimalise the accidental creation of new instances of SCP-XXXX, The only people allowed to know SCP-XXXX are Researcher Mikael, Researcher Jacobs, Former Researcher Kimberly and SCP-XXXX-1. All Level 1 personnel at Site-17 and personnel at Site-23 that knew SCP-XXXX-1 prior to containment are allowed to know of SCP-XXXX, but any that learn SCP-XXXX (deliberately or otherwise) are to be treated with a Class XXXX amnestic, specially designed by Researcher Jacobs for erasing only the memory of SCP-XXXX itself.
SCP-XXXX-1 is to be contained at Site-17 in a soundproofed human containment cell, fitted with a window to view the outside, a bed, and furniture to SCP-XXXX-1's liking. Requests made by SCP-XXXX-1 may be granted within reason, in accordance with Protocol Incentivise (See Addendum XXXX-01).
Once a day, Researcher Mikael and Researcher Jacobs must manually perform a global internet search for instances of SCP-XXXX. Any instances that relate to SCP-XXXX-1 and/or SCP-XXXX-2 will be noted in non-digital format, then deleted remotely. All information pertaining to the search must then be deleted. This must all be done without breaking eye contact, to prevent a new instance of SCP-XXXX from corrupting data.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the birth name of SCP-XXXX-1. Any instance of SCP-XXXX in the form of text or audio can spontaneously 'edit' the contents of the digital file that contains it. These 'edits' leave no trace of the original file or that a change was made, can happen at any time, even while the file is being viewed (although SCP-XXXX tends to avoid this whenever possible) and can occur any number of times to a particular file, granted the edited version also contains SCP-XXXX. Instances of SCP-XXXX are also capable of deleting files that contain them entirely, including hyperlinks in the case of web formats, resulting in no digital evidence of the file or it's context ever existing.
It is unknown if SCP-XXXX is sentient, but it's edits share a common goal of advancing the life and career of SCP-XXXX-1 by any means necessary. For example, if a document is made regarding SCP-XXXX-1's Special Containment Procedures that contains SCP-XXXX, it will change to state that SCP-XXXX-1 is to be released - but only upon being viewed by a staff member that is unaware of SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties, which implies some form of omniscience. Additionally, instances of SCP-XXXX in reference to people other than SCP-XXXX-1 with the same name display no anomalous properties. This means SCP-XXXX can discern intent, however whether it is unable to alter these files or chooses not to due to irrelevance is unknown.
It is undetermined whether SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties are connected to First Name, Last Name, either or the combination of the two, however it has been determined that title is likely irrelevant, as SCP-XXXX-1's title changed several times during his employment. For security purposes, 'either' has been assumed.
SCP-XXXX-1 is ██████ ███████, a Caucasian male of presumably American nationality employed by the SCP Foundation at Site-23 before SCP-XXXX was discovered. SCP-XXXX-1 shows no anomalous properties, besides being the focus of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-1 is fiercely arrogant, has an elitist attitude, and is generally incompetent and unpleasant, presumably because the influence of SCP-XXXX eliminated any need for him to develop intelligence or social skills beyond the absolute necessities. SCP-XXXX-1 claims to have no knowledge or control of SCP-XXXX, and is still skeptical over whether it exists.
SCP-XXXX-2 is ████ ███████, the supposed father of SCP-XXXX-1 who, according to SCP-XXXX-1, worked at the SCP Foundation and got SCP-XXXX-1 a job there in the first place, however there is no record of him in the Foundation database or in public records. Due to these circumstances, it is presumed (but not confirmed) that the effects of SCP-XXXX apply to him as well to some extent, so his name is also redacted as a precaution.
History: The full history of SCP-XXXX's anomalous activity within the Foundation is unknown, as all records of SCP-XXXX-1 were deleted by it shortly before it's final attack, Now referred to as Event-XXXX-Ω.
A proposal had recently been sent to the O5 Council to designate ██████ ███████ as SCP-XXXX-1. The proposal was approved 8 to 5, however the file containing the proposal was edited by SCP-XXXX. A transcript of the edited proposal (With SCP-XXXX redacted) is shown below.

NOTES:
██████ ███████'s commands must be followed without exception. Anyone who defies ██████ ███████ will be terminated. Researcher Kimberly will be terminated.
This edited version was luckily discovered by O5-7 before it's contents could be carried out. The original proposal was then put into place under O5-7's supervision.
In order to document at least some of SCP-XXXX's activity within the Foundation, as well as it's anomalous properties, Former Researcher Kimberly was called upon to compile a report of her experiences of SCP-XXXX. At the time, Kimberly was a researcher alongside SCP-XXXX-1, and the two often clashed over their conflicting beliefs. However, by this time, Researcher Kimberly had suffered considerable psychological trauma due to the activity of SCP-XXXX, and wished to retire immediately. As a compromise, Researcher Kimberly agreed to compiling the report, with the assistance and supervision of Researcher Mikael and O5-7, in exchange for access to SCP-113 before retiring.
No trace of SCP-XXXX-1 or SCP-XXXX-2 has yet been discovered outside the Foundation (presumably SCP-XXXX covering it's tracks), and constructing a cohesive origin story from SCP-XXXX-1's own statements has proved unfeasible. However, interviews with SCP-XXXX-1 have eliminated some possibilities, and brought SCP-XXXX-2 to the Foundation's attention.
Addendum XXXX-01: As of 08/01/29, Protocol Incentivise has been implemented; to improve morale and cooperation, SCP-XXXX-1 is now permitted to request items and activities for comfort or pleasure.
The feasibility and appropriateness of fulfilling said requests will generally be left to the discretion of Researcher Mikael & Researcher Jacobs, but trips outside SCP-XXXX-1's containment cell must be supervised by at least one of them, as well as a guard. Additionally, SCP-XXXX-1 is not permitted to be in contact with more than one other person during these trips.
Addendums XXXX-02 & XXXX-03: As of 15/01/29, Protocol Disincentivise has been implemented; to improve cooperation, if SCP-XXXX-1 attempts to spread SCP-XXXX (or refuses to cooperate with staff, as of 18/04/29), he will lose his Protocol Incentivise & cell privileges for a duration of one month, plus one additional month for each time Protocol Disincentivise has been triggered. As of writing this article, the current duration is 1 month 2 months 3 months 4 months.
