Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a standard Safe-class containment locker. Researchers are to ask their supervisor or the site director for permission to test SCP-XXXX, and the experiment proposal must be approved prior to testing. During testing, SCP-XXXX is to be moved to the center of a 40m x 40m x 40m stand-alone testing chamber and connected to a standard Foundation-issue computer with a standard USB cable. Following Incident SCP-XXXX-23, seven Scranton Reality Anchors are to be kept outside the perimeter of the testing building of SCP-XXXX at all times during experimentation. Under no circumstances are the files in SCP-XXXX to be copied or transferred to another device.

Description: SCP-XXXX refers to the AI program stored within an unbranded, black external hard drive (SCP-XXXX-A, pictured above). Investigations have been inconclusive on the amount of data stored the drive contains, but estimates suggest it contains infinite storage capacity. When connected to any computer, regardless of when the computer was made or how much RAM it has, SCP-XXXX will immediately begin to run, and can only be shut down via disconnection from the PC. Upon starting, SCP-XXXX will open a terminal and prompt the user to, "Enter a situation and the level of abstraction between -7 to 7 Cuils¹". After inputting a valid argument into the given fields, the computer will display "Configuring Model" with a loading bar. Depending on the complexity of the request and cuil level submitted to the system, the process may take between a few seconds up to half an hour. As soon as the configuration reaches completion, the SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties will begin to manifest. Following on the input given, SCP-XXXX will warp the local reality within a 20-meter radius to certain degrees of "abstraction" depending on the Cuil level entered.² The effects of the reality warp vary widely based on the input and the effects of the manifestation may revert within a few minutes or become effectively permanent in some cases. A brief listing of notable experiments and their effects is included in Addendum XXXX.2 below.

Addendum XXXX.1: Discovery
SCP-XXXX was found in a storage closet³used by the Surrealistics Department in Site-⌘ by Junior Researcher Tansing.

Interviewer: Doctor Jeffery Sharp

Foreword: An interview conducted with Junior Researcher Tansing following the initial discovery of SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties.

Dr. Sharp: Hello Jeffery. I'm pretty sure you already know why you're here

Tansing: …Am I getting fired for this?

Dr. Sharp: You did something extremely dangerous and uncalled for. People in our line of work must remember to be extremely careful. Not just for ourselves, Tansing. Although you might've gotten lucky this time, there's no guarantee that you'll be able to make the same mistake a third time. However, because you reported the incident instead of hiding it, your punishment may be alleviated.

Tansing: I understand.

Dr. Sharp: Most likely. The extent of them will be decided after this interview.

Tansing: …So do I just talk about what happened?

Dr. Sharp: Start from when you found the hard drive.

Tansing: I found this hard drive in the supply closet while I was looking for some equipment, right? Needed a new mouse since my old one broke. And I was curious since the drive wasn't labeled or anything. I just connected it to my computer and followed the program prompt to enter in a simple scenario.

Dr. Sharp: What did you enter?

Tansing:Thought it was just a modeling or predictive program, or a game of some sort. Like someone threw out the hard drive and forgot to delete their code and stuff, y'know? So I go and enter a scenario and set the cuil level to one. Just typed "I buy a bottle of water" since I was feeling thirsty.

Dr. Sharp: What happened next? How did the anomaly process this request?

Tansing: It didn't take very long to load. I felt… an unknown force pushing at me, I guess, once the progress bar reached completion. It pushed me over to the vending machine in the hallway, and then made me buy a bottle of water. But I got was an empty plastic bottle. Very disappointing. But then… *(subject pauses and clears his throat)* Well, it was quite unpleasant.

Dr. Sharp: Please proceed with your explanation.

Tansing: Yes… So I felt something welling up in the back of my throat, and instinctively cupped my hands towards my mouth, right? And the bottle was still in my hand. Still not sure how it happened exactly, but everything that I puked out ended up in the bottle.

Dr. Sharp: In your report, you mentioned that you gave the bottle to be analyzed for anomalous properties, correct? What were the results?

Tansing: Right. The lab analysis revealed that the contents of the bottle were just mineral water. Exact match to the stuff in the other bottles contained in the vending machine, down to the volume. 500 mililiters.
