Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be kept in an environment at -27 degrees Celsius or colder, in a chamber on its own on Site-██, 11m up from the floor. Should it melt and find a way out, a containment breach warning must be issued.

Description: A teenage girl stated she was to be locked in time when she turned twenty three and as such would turn into an ice statue. People believed she was delusional, but she was proved right on June 28th ████, when her transformation began. When someone made physical contact with the so-called “Ice Maiden”, they slowly froze into a statue themselves and were strongly adhered to it, unable to remove themselves. Some subjects are lucky and can free themselves, though this has only happened in seven cases, and they were all wearing very thick gloves. The Ice Maiden’s voice has been described as a “gentle contralto whisper”, confirmed to be in the key of F-3. It repeats what the subject says in such a voice, regardless of the subject’s voice tone. The Ice Maiden can melt when it wants to, and can traverse its way out of anything, including the Locked Box. As such, the Ice Maiden is VERY difficult to contain if you do not do it properly. If the environment is too hot, SCP-XXXX will begin to whimper in a soprano tone, believed to be key C-6. This SCP can move on its own will, even when not melted. The Ice Maiden has long hair reaching to her shoulders, blue eyes at one point, and a floor length dress. It has complained about its existence multiple times. The teenager who became this anomaly seems to have been called Harper ███████, child of a ship’s first officer. Although the Ice Maiden requires no sustenance, it can eat normal human food and regularly does so. Not much more is known, but the Foundation are heavily researching it.
