Special Containment Procedures: The only road leading to the site of SCP-XXXX has been blocked off from use, and is in the process of being rerouted. The Foundation is working under the guise of the federal government. Nearby towns are being told that SCP-XXXX has a natural gas leak, and no one is allowed in. No personnel are permitted to enter the site of SCP-XXXX without express permission from the Site Director. All personnel working on this case must stay within the research facility just outside the site of SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the former location of the town of Redford, MA. The area is currently covered by forest, matching typical vegetation and animal-life of New England. The section designated as SCP-XXXX is approximately 32 km2 in area. The only road which ran into Redford is still present, but abruptly stops on the presumed town line. An approximate size and layout of the town has been gathered through information from residents of local towns who have visited Redford.
Currently, no records of Redford, MA exist. It is not present on any maps or in any documents. The anomaly was discovered when Doctor Katherine ██████, who was working at Site XXX at the time, went missing on August 13, 2018. Her coworkers attempted to track her down, going to her hometown of Redford, MA. They found the former location of the town as it is now, and Doctor Katherine ██████ has yet to be found.
The current hypothesis regarding SCP-XXXX is that the town of Redford and all of its residents, current and former, ceased to exist. All physical documents containing information about Redford also ceased to exist. The reasons for the disappearance are unknown.
Any person who spends too much time in the site of SCP-XXXX will also disappear (see Log XXXX-1 below). The exact amount of time for a person to disappear is also unknown.
Log XXXX-1, 10/24/2018: Two D-Class personnel, who will be referred to as D-1 and D-2, were sent into SCP-XXXX to gather data. They were in constant communication with the Site Director, who will be referred to as SD, via radio, and being tracked via GPS locators.

SD: [D-1] and [D-2], this is [SD], can you hear me? Over.
D-1: Loud and clear, boss. Over.
D-2: I can hear you, too. Over.
SD: You may proceed towards the site. Over.
D-1 and D-2 on foot from the research facility to SCP-XXXX through the forest.

D-2: Ow! [EXPLETIVE]!
SD: Is everything alright? Over.
D-2: Affirmative, I just rolled my ankle on a rock. Over.
D-1 and D-2 continue for approximately 4 minutes.

D-2 It's like these woods have been here forever, like there was never a town or any people. Over.
D-1: Yeah, it's odd. How does a town just disappear, let alone be replaced by a forest? These trees would have to be at least a few decades old to be this size. Over.
D-1 and D-2 continue for approximately 1 hour.

SD: OK [D-1] and [D-2], you should be around where the center of town was. What do you see? Over.
D-1: There're just more trees, boss. Some rocks, a squirrel. It just looks like a normal forest. Right [D-2]? [D-2]? Wait, what the [EXPLETIVE]?!
SD: Is there a problem [D-1]? Over.
D-1: [D-2] is gone! We must've gotten separated somehow. [D-2], it's [D-1], do you copy? Over.
No response
SD: [D-2] this is home base, I need you to respond. Do you copy? Over.
No response
D-1: How the [EXPLETIVE] did we get separated?! He was right next to me!
SD: [D-1], you need to remain calm. I'm checking the GPS. Over. [pause] That's not good. [D-2]'s GPS locator is offline. We don't know where he is. [D-1], get out of there ASAP. Head back to base immediately. Over.
D-1: Affirmative, turning back now. Over.
D-1 continues walking back towards the research facility for approximately 30 minutes. During this time, SD takes note that D-1's GPS locator and radio both malfunction, and every few minutes,
D-1 goes offline for a moment before returning.

D-1: [through static] Boss, I'm seeing something weird. There's a building here. The sign says "Max's Hardware", and- holy [EXPLETIVE]! There're people in there! Over!
SD: What do you mean, [D-1]? That wasn't there before was it? Over.
The static becomes louder, gradually drowning out D-1's voice
D-1: Hey! Hey! You in the store! What's going [inaudible].
D-1's radio and GPS signals are lost.
SD: [D-1]! [D-1] do you copy?! Are you there [D-1]?!
D-1 and D-2 never return to base.
