Special Contaniment Procedures: SCP-4087 Shall be contained in a 6x6x6 room, surrounded by 4 security cameras equipped with movement sensors. SCP-4087's containment room must be
cleaned, hermetically sealed and sterilized at least once every 15 days.
The containment room must be watched at all times by at least one security guard who keeps record of who enters and leaves the room at all times.
SCP-4087's actual state of corrosion must be preserved for research purposes. No attempt of restauration must be carried on at any times.
In case of a containment breach, the containment room shall be temporarily sealed and can only be opened with the use of a Level-5 Keycard.

SCP-4087 appears to be covered in a layer of corrotion provoqued by the direct contact with salty water. Even in this state, the camera presents no issue whatsoever when taking photos. SCP-4087 Does not appear to need any source of power to take and store photos. It's storage capacity is unknown.
SCP-4087 was found at the bottom of The Great Salt Lake located in Utah by a grop of unauthorized divers. The divers had taken one of them a photo with the camera and after the photo's subject had fallen sick they decided to report the situation to the authorities, claiming the camera was haunted. An investigation carried out by Dr. ██████ resulted in the SCP foundation taking possession of SCP-4087 and thus being put in immediate containment for later experimentation.
The photos taken by SCP-4087 tend to degrade over time towards a state of corrotion similar to what the camera itself shows.
When a photo taken by SCP-4087 shows a living subject, the very own health of that living subject will slowly start to degrade at the same exact rate at which the photo does. The degree at which the photo degrades has shown to be random. Once the photo degrades enough to the point it cannot show any of the information of when it was originally taken, the living subject whom appeared in the photo will have died from causes related to multi-organic failure or cancer in an animal's case, and withering or rotting in a plant's case
There is no current resolution about what does cause the subject's health to start degrading after the photo was taken, further research is needed.
Test 1 - 23/01/████
Subject: Mature Oak Tree
Procedure: photo is taken at regular levels of sunlight, photo shows normally at first instance.
Results: The taken photo decays and the oak tree starts rotting, eventually dying.
Test 2 - 23/04/████
Subject: Common rabbit.
Procedure: Photo is taken, very dimm background white light and very high intensity ultraviolet light is used.
Results: The subject decays at a much slower rate than expected, but dies from a heart attack after ██ hours of the photo being taken. The photo does not fully corrode, even though the subject had already died. This phenomenon is attributed to ultraviolet light, thus further experimentation is needed to fulfill a conclusion.

Subject: Grouping of Escherichia Coli bacteria in a laboratory plate
Procedure: Photo is taken with a high intensity background light in a closed room.
