Shark #: SPC-16120-J
Object class: Punched Succesfully
Shark Punching Criteria: Due to it's inaccessibility, SPC-16120-J is temporarily contained under a rock at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, 2000m down, coordinates ██████, conveniently located directly under a shark-free terrestrial island marked with a single palm tree of the [PUNCHED OUT] genus. Telephone networks in a 1000km radius around SPC-16120-J are to be constantly monitored for SPC-16120-J-A events and affected telephones to be punched accordingly. Any civilian which manages to receive a call from SPC-16120-J is to be administered a Class-A punch.
Description: SPC-16120-J appears to be a functioning telephone constructed of seashells from various genera. Every 2-5 months, SPC-16120-J-1, a pink coloured common starfish, picks up SPC-16120-J and initiates a SPC-16120-J-A event.
During a SPC-16120-J-A event, a random landline telephone within 1000km of SPC-16120-J is called by the phone number ████████. When someone answers the call, the person receiving the call, (henceforth referred to as the subject), is compelled to say, "Is this", followed by the name of someone the subject was expecting the call from at that time. SPC-16120-J-A will then respond with the following: "No, this is Patrick!". The subject will then appear to be frustrated and be memetically compelled to terminate the closest aquatic lifeform. Class A punches have proven effective in removing the memetic compulsion. When interviewed, subjects stated that they just "wanted to vent [their] anger at [SPC-16120-J] for wasting their time (and phone bills)."
Note from Doctor █████:
While SPC-16120-J does not directly relate to sharks, there is a possibility that the subject terminates a shark after a phone call. This is seen as a direct threat to the SPC Foundation's motives, as there would be less living sharks left for us to punch, thus warranting SPC-16120-J's containment.
Recording SPC-16120-J
This is a recording of an SPC-16120-J-A event, with Doctor Bright as the subject.
Doctor Bright: Is this █████?
SPC-16120-J-1: No, this is Patrick!
Doctor Bright: And this is Jack.
SPC-16120-J-1: Wait what this isn't supposed to happen
SPC-16120-J-1 hangs up
Following this incident, SPC-16120-J-A events have ceased completely and SPC-16120-J-A has been reclassified as Punched Successfully
Item #: Scp-XXXX
Object class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: Scp-XXXX and Scp-XXXX-1 are to be kept in a 10×10×10 meter concrete room sealed behind a steel door. Scp-XXXX and Scp-XXXX-1 are to be placed 1 meter apart such that the entrance of Scp-XXXX-1 is lined up with the exit of Scp-XXXX. Personnel under the effect Scp-XXXX are required to pass through Scp-XXXX-1 to negate the effect. No personnel are allowed to board Scp-XXXX from the incorrect end without permission by at least 2 level 3 personnel. Non-essential personnel who have been exposed to the effects of Scp-XXXX and Scp-XXXX-1 once in succession may be terminated, unless specified by level 3 personnel on a case by case basis. All other personnel who have been exposed to the effects of Scp-XXXX and Scp-XXXX-1 are to be reassigned to another Scp.
Description: Scp-XXXX is a 3 meter long travelator (moving walkway) which moves at a constant speed of 0.6 m/s and has no discernible power source. When a human (henceforth reffered to as the subject) stands on the Scp-XXXX, no anomalous effects are observed until they subject leaves Scp-XXXX, after which the subject will continue to move at a constant speed of 0.6 m/s until the subject is terminated. While under Scp-XXXX's effects, the subject is still capable of moving as per normal, but their movement will be hindered as expected.
Note: full experiment log is located in Experiment Log XXXX-101.
Experiment XXXX-1:
00:00 - 00:09: Subject D-7492 is ordered to board Scp-XXXX and remain still.
00:10 - 00:15: D-7492 boards Scp-XXXX-1 from its 'entrance' and remains on Scp-XXXX, no anomalous effects are observed.
00:16 - 00:25: D-7492 exits Scp-XXXX and continues moving at a constant speed of 0.6 m/s. Subject displays visible panic.
00:26 - 00:33: D-7492 ordered to walk in the opposite direction of the force. D-7492 complies and attempts to walk in the opposite direction of the effect at a normal pace, subject is hindered and moves at 0.4 m/s.
00:34 - 00:40: D-7492 terminated by armed guard. D-7492's remains immediately cease movement. Test concluded.
Experiment XXXX-3:
00:00 - 00:06: Subject D-9441 is ordered to board Scp-XXXX twice in succession.
00:07 - 00:13: Subject complies and boards Scp-XXXX once.
00:14 - 00:20: Subject gets off Scp-XXXX and attempts to re-enter Scp-XXXX again. Subject shows visible confusion towards anomalous effects.
00:21 - 00:23: D-9441 boards Scp-XXXX a second time. Subject moves at an accelerated rate of 12 m/s.
00:24 - 00:27: D-9441 gets off of Scp-XXXX and continues moving at 12 m/s. Subject terminated.
00:28 - 00:31: The remains of D-9441 continues moving at 6 m/s.
00:32 - 5:14: Multiple failed attempts to cease motion of Subject's remains, including gunfire, blunt force (administered via baton) and impalement (administered via use of knife).
5:15 - 5:20 Subject's remains incinerated by on-site incinerator. Subject's remains cease movement. Test concluded.
Experiment XXXX-4:
00:00 - 00:08: Subject D-8274 is ordered to board Scp-XXXX from its 'exit' and attempt to walk to the other side.
00:09 - 00:18: D-8274 attepts to board Scp-XXXX from the opposite end. D-8274 moves at a pace standard for people walking in a similar fashion on a non-anomalous travelator.
00:19 - 00:23: Upon reaching the halfway point, D-8274 is launched backwards at ███km/s. D-8274 terminated by the force of impact. Upon loss of life signs, the remains of D-8274 immediately ceases movement and drops to the ground. Test concluded.
Note: Following this incident, the containment procedures have been revised to prevent this from occuring again. - Senior Researcher █████
Message from Ethics Committee:
This process of terminating Class-Ds is a waste of human resources. We propose that our researchers devise a method to negate Scp-XXXX's effect to prevent this. -Ethics Comitee
Addendum XXXX-1001:
After consideration by O5 members, permission was granted on 10/08/2016 to devise a method to negate Scp-XXXX's effects. On 30/11/2017, Scp-XXXX-1 was created by foundation researchers and was inserted into the containment procedures of Scp-XXXX. Scp-XXXX-1 is a moving walkway identical in structure to Scp-XXXX. However, entering Scp-XXXX-1 from the 'exit' causes the Subject to move in the opposite direction by 0.6 m/s. When a subject under the effect of Scp-XXXX does this, the effect of Scp-XXXX-1 negates those of Scp-XXXX, thus cancelling any anomalous effects.
Incident log XXXX-1-A
00:00 - 00:10: On 17/12/2017, Subject D-5201, who had previous experience with experimentation with Scp-XXXX, was chosen to perform an experiment regarding passing through Scp-XXXX and Scp-XXXX-1.
00:11 - 00:23: Subject ordered to pass through Scp-XXXX from its 'entrance'. Subject complies. Upon exiting Scp-XXXX, Subject moves at a constant speed of 6 m/s.
00:24 - 00:26: Subject ordered to enter Scp-XXXX-1 from its 'exit' as with standard procedure.
00:27 - 00:30: Subject complies. Upon stepping onto Scp-XXXX-1, Subject immediately disappears. Zone-wide lockdown initiated.
00:31 - 05:28: Armed guards dispatched to search for D-5201. D-5201 spotted 2 km from the containment chamber, where he was detained and interrogated.
Interview XXXX-1-A
Interviewer: Dr. Collins
Interviewee: D-5201
Dr. Collins: D-5201, thank you for partaking in this interview.
D-5201: Well, it's not like I had a choice.
Dr. Collins: For the record, would you tell me your past experience with Scp-XXXX?
D-5201: Well, doc. I remember going through that weird conveyor thingy last week. When I got off, though, I continued moving. I was scared at first, but then one of the scientists told me to calm down and go into the other conveyor through its exit. I did as they said, then suddenly I was back to normal.
Dr. Collins: Okay, that's indeed what was recorded. Now, can you describe what happened this morning?
D-5201: Well, it went mostly the same as last week. I went on the conveyor, continued moving, then was told to stand on the other one. But when I set foot on it, I suddenly felt like I was moving very, very quickly. Then in a flash of light, I reappeared where you found me.
Note: Recovered security footage confirms that there was a flash of light measuring approximately ██████ lux at the location D-5201 appeared.
Dr. Collins: Ok, D-5201, thank you for your time.
Interview concluded.
Addendum XXXX 1062
Following this interview, Dr. Collins requested a controlled repeat of the above experiment be performed. Permission was granted by Site Director █████ on 13/5/2019 to perform the experiment.
Experiment XXXX-7
Before the experiment, Scp-XXXX and Scp-XXXX-1 were moved to an off-site testing area 10 km in diameter along with Subjects D-7392 and D-8254 and other relevant personnel.
00:00 - 00:12: Subject D-7392 was ordered to board Scp-XXXX and Scp-XXXX-1 as per standard procedure.
00:13 - 00:23: Subject complies. Standard effects of Scp-XXXX and Scp-XXXX-1 observed.
00:24 - 00:30: Subject ordered to board Scp-XXXX and Scp-XXXX-1 again. Subject complies. Upon stepping onto Scp-XXXX-1, subject instantaneously disappeared and reappeared 2 km from the 'exit' of Scp-XXXX-1 along with a bright light measuring ██████ lux.
00:31 - 01:12: Experiment repeated with D-8254 and produced similar results.
Scp-XXXX, Scp-XXXX-1, and all involved personnel transported back to Site-█. Test concluded.
Post experiment report
After a couple rounds of testing, it was theorised that this teleportation effect was caused by the energy stored up after entering Scp-XXXX-1 the first time. In the time frame between the two times Scp-XXXX-1 was boarded, the energy was built up to impossibly high levels. When the subject stood onto Scp-XXXX-1 a second time, all that energy was released and the subject was launched so fast that he 'phased through' any obstacles. Following this, our researchers have submitted yet another proposal for an emergency evacuation system involving Scp-XXXX-1.
Addendum XXXX-1237
On 3/12/2019, an emergency shelter was constructed 2 km from the 'exit' of Scp-XXXX-1 and Scp-XXXX-1 was bolted to the ground. Containment procedures have been revised as follows:
Scp-XXXX and Scp-XXXX-1 are to be kept in a 10×10×10 meter concrete room sealed behind a steel door. Scp-XXXX and Scp-XXXX-1 are to be placed 1 meter apart such that the entrance of Scp-XXXX-1 is lined up with the exit of Scp-XXXX. The exit of Scp-XXXX-1 is to be unobstructed except by the wall of the chamber. 2 km from the exit of Scp-XXXX-1 is a seperate shelter used for emergency purposes. To access the shelter, personnel are required to pass through Scp-XXXX and Scp-XXXX-1 twice. The shelter is to be patrolled by 2 armed guards for unauthorised access. Personnel under the effect Scp-XXXX are required to pass through Scp-XXXX-1 to negate the effect. No personnel are allowed to board Scp-XXXX from its 'exit' without permission by at least 2 level 3 personnel. ##blue|All personnel who have been exposed to the effects of Scp-XXXX and Scp-XXXX-1 are to be recorded in Exposed Personnel Log XXXX.
