SCP-4026

Item #: SCP-4026

Object Class: Safe

Threat Level: Blue

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4026 is contained in a 6x6x7 meter concrete containment cell. SCP-4026 is able to be left unmonitored.

Description: SCP-4026 is a lion fountain composed of marble recovered at ██████, Italy. SCP-4026 is capable of answering any known question with an exact answer. If the question asked is unanswerable, SCP-4026 will return the coin to the person who asked. Any official currency (in use or out of use) in coin form that is thrown into SCP-4026's base results in SCP-4026 answering the question. If currency in other forms (IE: Bills, cheques, credit cards) are thrown into SCP-4026, an amount will be divided from the currency, equating to the amount of one coin from the currency. Noted from Addendum 4026.1, a D-Class tried to take some of the coins from the fountain, the result was the D-Class getting mauled to death by seemingly nothing. When unobserved, all of the coins in SCP-4026's water will vanish.

Observational Log 4026.OL.1 SUMMARY

Preface: A test subject (D-58395) was instructed to toss in coins and ask various questions about the creation of SCP-4026.
Observation Notes: D-58395 tossed in one (1) US penny, SCP-4026 responded with “What is the question you most desire to know?” D-58395 was made to reply with the question, “Who is your sculptor”. SCP-4026 responded with [REDACTED]. After the answer was received, D-58395 threw in another coin, the second time made to ask “When were you sculpted”, SCP-4026 responded with “My sculpting lasted from Saturday, July 25, 1587 at 7:48 AM and 32 seconds to Sunday, November 18, 1590 at 3:34 PM and 54 seconds”. When the interview was done, D-58395 tried to steal a quarter from SCP-4026, resulting in his dismemberment. The coin was nowhere to be found after D-58395’s death.
