Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 20 cm X 10 cm X 10 cm box of military specification MIL-P-8184, Type II, Class 2 ballistic-resistant plexiglass. The box will be augmented with reinforcing high-carbon steel frame and locking mechanism. This unit will be held within a 6.5m X 6.5m room equipped with a steel door and military specification bullet-proof plexiglass window for observation. The room will contain 24-hour surveillance equipment consisting of motion, thermal, and visual spectrum light sensors to observe for anomalous behavior. The object and residing container will rest on a vibration sensitive platform for emanation analysis. A minimum of two guards – continuous - will guard the door to SCP-XXXX.

We understand Dr. Elysiya wants to continue to use SCP-XXXX on live subjects to pursue her curiosities with the object. However, we do not see any reason why activating it could be linked to this "Holy Trinity." Cease all inquisition concerning SCP-XXXX. Further directives regarding the object will continue if considered necessary to organization goals.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is believed to be an archaic nail, possibly dating back to 1st Century Rome as discerned by archeological comparison. It is approximately 11.5 cm in length with a circular head and curved point beginning 1.2 cm from tip. The object is coated in a brown substance, believed to be human blood. However, all attempts to retrieve a sample have failed. Though ancient in appearance, it has been found to be indestructible via attempts at sample extraction.
The object was retrieved in ████████, Germany, April - 15 -2011, after a man attempted to place it on his shelf. After speaking with the man’s wife, it is believed the nail exhibited strong effects on him after injuring himself with the object. It was found that after cutting his hand he turned to his wife, anxiously stating he must repent. He then drove the nail into his hand and began to convulse on the floor. His wife attempted to remove the nail, however, states it “burned” her hand when she touched it. After several failed attempts, she let the premises to contact the police from a neighbor’s phone. She states that after returning with the police, the door would not open. All attempts to enter the premises were unsuccessful and guidance was requested from federal authorities. Upon review of the incident report, the SCP Foundation was notified regarding the case and object of interest.
MTF Chi-3 ("Exorcists") arrived to investigate the anomalous event. After approximately 72 hours from the beginning of the event, the door was able to be opened without force. The husband was found diseased within his home, the nail clutched within his hand. It was reportedly easy to remove, offering no ‘burning’ sensation as described by the wife prior. The nail and the body of the man, Alfon █████████, was relocated to Site-76 for further study. Upon inspection, the body exhibited lacerations to the back, however no puncture wound to the hand was found, as previously stated by the wife. The body was otherwise found to be in typical condition. All further attempts at an autopsy have been found unsuccessful, as no equipment can lacerate the subject’s body. Approximately three days within containment, the subject was observed by security cameras attempting to leave the morgue. The subject was retrieved by MTF, later questioned by Dr. Elysiya.

Note: Alfon later expired due to his injuries. Further inquiries with the subject’s wife revealed Alfon was diagnosed with leukemia. Because of this, Alfon and his wife had taken a pilgrimage to Israel. This is where we believe where the subject came into possession of SCP-XXXX. His autopsy shows there were no sign of cancer cells in his blood. Dr. Elysiya suspects this has something to do with the nail.

- Listen I hear how people want to lock this thing up, as if we understand it fully. This is not true. I believe further studies are required on live subjects to understand what it is capable of and what Alfon said about the "Holy Trinity". It leads me to believe there are two more of these nails out there. We need to know what we are dealing with here.
