SCP draft 1:

rating: 0+x

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 4oz glass container filled with water resting on a platform towards the back of the cell. Inside of the containment cell must be away from continuous light, moisture, and excess heat. Replenishment of the water is to be administered every 10 days in accordance to the eventual evaporation of the water, which has been recorded to be at an average of 20 day intervals. Personnel are required to keep the glass to a minimal of ¼ of a cup, or ½ of the aforementioned container. Careful filling is required, as if any fluids overflow the container, SCP-XXXX will choose the closest human in the containment cell as a vessel to affect1. This outcome will also occur if personnel are to enter while the container is below the minimal capacity of water to the point of SCP-XXXX being exposed to the surface. This is often an occurrence as, on occasion, the water will evaporate at an accelerated rate. The reason for the arbitrary reaction is unknown, however, it’s been hypothesized to be provoked by SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX takes the form of a 5mg oxycodone HCL pill. It possesses a white color and has the typical indentations of a regular oxycodone tablet of the same qualities. SCP-XXXX, although submerged in water, does not show signs of disintegration and does not sink lower than ¼ of the container’s space.
The effects of SCP-XXXX are unanticipated, however over a course of occurrences and the comparison of an actual oxycodone pill, the extent of the object’s abilities have been recorded.

Recovery Log: SCP-XXXX was discovered during an autopsy conducted on a male civilian named █████ ██████████ whose cause of death was determined to be accident. This was later found to be because of SCP-XXXX’s dependence effect resulting in the civilian to be █████████████████████████. The object was discovered in his stomach and was identified to be unaffected by stomach acid.
The foundation caught and detained SCP-XXXX, which was transported in the container currently used for the object. More was understood during the transport of SCP-XXXX in accordance to the many minor effects given to the personnel helping transport the object.

Addendum: (Transcript of interview w/ the class C personnel, referred to as VICTIM, subjected to SCP-XXXX’s dependence effect, dates were not logged due to the swiftness of the incident beginning to end)

<Begin Log>

Dr. ██████████: Sir, can you tell us how you’re feeling?

[Silence is heard. VICTIM is seen rocking back and fourth.]

Dr. ██████████: Sir, can you speak?

VICTIM: (Raising voice) Don’t ask for [EXPLETIVE] until I get that [EXPLETIVE]in’ pill!

Dr. ██████████: You don’t plan to cooperate, I suppose- (pauses to write notes, including an observation of VICTIM not acting as usual) Can you-

[VICTIM has vomited onto the floor and is currently unable to respond, only left to glare up at the interviewer.]

Dr. ██████████: (sighs) Alright. You’re dismissed. Guards will be in to escort you to obtain psychological evaluation.

VICTIM: (Stands up with immense force, resulting in the chair being knocked back.) [EXPLETIVE] that! I won’t-
