Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a 3-inch thick box made of bulletproof glass within Site-64. The room SCP-XXXX is contained in is to be behind two doors, the inner door leading into an antechamber, where the second door to the rest of the facility leads. The outer door is to be closed at all times when not in use. Any attempt to access SCP-XXXX must first be approved by at least (2) personnel with Level-4 security clearance or higher. Removing SCP-XXXX from its container is strictly forbidden unless specifically for testing purposes. In the event that SCP-XXXX is removed from its containment unit without clearance, an immediate containment breach is to be declared, the site is to be placed on lockdown, and all available guards are to track down and either detain or terminate the individual responsible at the guard's discretion. After the threat has been neutralized and SCP-XXXX has been returned to its containment unit, the facility can exit lockdown.
Description: SCP-XXXX refers to a standard 8.5 by 11-inch sheet of printer paper, with a child's drawing on one side of the sheet. The drawing consists of a crudely-drawn landscape made entirely with crayon, with a forest covering the majority of the paper. In addition to the forest, a hill can be seen in the bottom-left corner of the drawing, in front of the forest. On top of the hill lies a grey structure, drawn in the same style as the rest of the drawing. The building itself has few features, with the only features being a door, and the Foundation logo prominently displayed in plain view. The Foundation logo is drawn much more cleanly, and in pen rather than in crayon, suggesting that someone other than the original artist of the rest of the picture added the Foundation's icon afterward. Attempts to determine who added the Foundation image to the drawing have thus far proven unsuccessful, and further investigation is currently ongoing. The anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX occur only while contained within any structure related to the Foundation, regardless of location, markings, or classification. While contained within any Foundation Site, the door on the building in the picture will randomly open, while at the same time opening the door in whatever room it is being contained in, regardless of clearance required to open, mechanism by which the door opens, or obstructions put in place to prevent access to the chamber. This effect only affects the room SCP-XXXX is being held in when the change takes place. After a random period of time, lasting anywhere from 5 minutes to 3 hours, the door on the image will close, and so will the affected door(s). The door(s) affected during this time will be unable to be closed by any means while be held open by SCP-XXXX. After the anomalous effects subside, the door(s) affected will once again function normally.
