Description: SCP-6089 is the former regional headquarters of the GRU-P located in St. Petersburg ,Russia.
From the exterior, SCP-6089 appears to be an abandoned apartment building. The interior of the building is that of a standard Soviet Era Government Building. Inside is:
- one lobby, with the faded logo of the GRU-P painted on the floor.
- ██ offices of various sizes, one of which shows signs of heavy smoke damage.
- One conference room, completely vacant other than a broken wooden table and a portrait of former soviet leader Yuri Andropov
Upon entering the basement of SCP-6089 is one 9 by 5 curved hallway that continues for ██ meters. Spaced five meters between each other on each side of the hallway are red steel doors, hereby referred to as SCP-6089 A. Several instances of SCP-6089 A have been boarded up, sealed shut and in one case having had the handle to the door cut off.
Each instance of SCP-6089 A transports a subject to another point on the earth through a doorway of a similar type and height. Continued entry into the new location and use of another door of a similar nature will bring the subject to another, further location. After going through several doors, currently no greater than █, SCP-6089 A will terminate at a fixed location, with any further doorways being used linking back to a previous location until returning to SCP-6089.
The terminus location for SCP-6089 A has included several heavily secured sites, headquarters, military bases and government buildings of nations hostile to the Soviet Union. As well, at least three foundation sites are known to be comprised by instance of SCP-6089 A, Sites ██,██ and ██. Currently it is unclear what effect the GRU-P had at each of the compromised sites and the Foundation is in the process of reviewing breaches that occurred.
Addendum: SCP-6089 came to the attention of the Foundation when a local real estate developer went missing surveying the site, only to reappear several hours later at MOD Whitehall ,in the United Kingdom . Upon the details of his arrest coming to the attention of the Foundation, and his tale of doorway teleportation, the site of SCP-6089 was purchased.
Inquiries with the current Russian Federation's GRU-P have proved unfruitful, however back channels in the Russian Government have confirmed that SCP-6089 was the location of the Greater Leningrad Command Centre for the agency from 19██-19██. The facility was abandoned soon after the fall of the Soviet Union, the nascent Russian GRU-P unable or unwilling to manage the site.
Requests to investigate the current headquarters of the GRU-P, TheAquarium for instances of SCP-6089 A have been rejected by the Russian Government.
