IDK WHAT I'M DOING
Item #: SCP-IDKYET
Object Class: SAFE
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-IDKYET is to be kept within a 1.5m x 1.5m x 2m sealed box comprised of steel, which should allow no visibility to the box's interior. This box is to be stored within a standard object containment cell.
Description: SCP-IDKYET is a rectangular bathroom-style mirror, approximately 0.5m in length, 1m in height, and 4 cm in width, and has a white trim along its edges.
When viewed from the side angles without a human subject in frame, or from a camera feed, SCP-IDKYET functions as a standard mirror, reflecting whatever a subject sees at an angle. However, if a human subject directly views themself in the mirror, they will begin to experience growing delusions of "hidden meat". These delusions can be broken down into various stages.
Stage 1: Within 10-20 minutes of interacting with SCP-IDKYET, the subject will vocalize a desire for nondescript "meat". Any previous aversion to meats, such as in the case of vegan or vegetarian subjects, are seemingly forgotten. If given most forms of meat or animal byproduct, the subject will grow irate, demanding more "meat". It should be noted that if the subject is given raw ground meats, such as beef or chicken, they will instead become grateful, and then proceed to consume the raw food.
Stage 2: After 1 hour, the subject begins to believe that various non-meat foods (such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, baked goods, etc) are secretly containing "meat" within them. The subject may sometimes attempt to cut or tear open the foods, becoming frustrated by the lack of meat held within. They will also no longer accept any form of actual meat, insisting that it's "not real meat"
Stage 3: Within 2-3 hours, the behavior from Stage 2 will extend to non-food related products, such as drywall, tables, toys, or pillows. The subject will begin to dig their way through any nearby objects or surfaces, regardless of bodily harm that may occur in doing so, insisting that the nearby objects and surfaces are "hiding meat". This process may lead to serious physical damage to the subject, and torn flesh and broken bones around the subject's fingers are exceedingly common.
Stage 4: After 4 hours, the subject will violently attack any nearby personnel, regardless of personal injuries or perceived risk. Almost all subjects vocalize demands for "the meat", and will continue to attack
