Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:SCP-XXXX are to be kept in seperate terrariums fit with soil and rocks from their location of recovery. Terrariums must be kept heated for SCP-XXXX to survive. If SCP-XXXX is needed for research or harvesting personnel are to wear fully covered padded equipment. In case of a breach all doors and vents leading to SCP-XXXX's containment room are to be shut. Any personnel stung by an instance of SCP-XXXX are to be moved to a safe location. SCP-XXXX-1 is not to be used for personal gain.
Description:SCP-XXXX is 22(presumed more) black scorpions (Scorpiones)varying in size from 11 mm to 17 mm. The scorpions produce a venom that causes those stung to "be frozen in time" referred to as SCP-XXXX-1. The subjects are unable to move in anyway. Despite not being able to move subjects remain alive. Once the venom loses its effect subjects are unable to recall that time had passed between getting stung and recovering.
SCP-XXXX use their venom to catch prey and escape predators. SCP-XXXX are identical to most other species of scorpions except for their venom. SCP-XXXX when encountering a immediate threat will gather other instances of SCP-XXXX. The process by which they gather is unknown. The more SCP-XXXX that sting a target the longer the subject will be frozen in time. Testing with D-class showed that one SCP-XXXX sting lasts for three minutes and 22 stings lasts for 41 hours. Humans have been found to have faster recoveries than other creatures.
SCP-XXXX-1 has been harvested and tested. SCP-XXXX-1 lasts for 10 to 15 minutes outside of a body
making testing hard. Due to the effects of SCP-XXXX-1 the venom has been developed into a weapon for containing and capturing non anomalous creatures. Modifying the venom has had no results and is only available directly from SCP-XXXX
15 instances of SCP-XXXX were recovered in an abandoned house in a field after reports of people being stung and being unable to move. The house was investigated and witnesses were told that the scorpions caused paralysis. The house was found to be a research facility about keeping creatures alive by freezing all processes. Data recovered from the facility found that the researchers abandoned the experiments. It is hypothesised that the scorpions infested the facility and gained their anomalous ability. The remaining 7 were found in the field surrounding the house. It is believed that there are more SCP-XXXX in the surrounding area.
Addendum-1: On █/█/20██ a bird matching no currently known species was found in the field SCP-XXXX was recovered. The bird is alive but is under the effects of SCP-XXXX-1.The bird has been in containment for █ years and has not recovered from SCP-XXXX-1. Due to the bird condition it is believed that at least ███ scorpions are uncontained.
