SCP-XXXX currently requires no extensive special containment procedures other than monitoring SCP-XXXX-A, an █████ odour that emanates from the kitchen of the restaurant. Monitoring of the establishment and kitchen area is to take place throughout the restaurant's business day (9:00 AM EST - 6:00 PM EST), so that workers and customers can be observed. Other than this, SCP-XXXX does not seem to exhibit any relatively dangerous abilities that need to be surveilled.
Description:
██████████ is a family run seafood business in Calabash, North Carolina that repels and/or negates the effects of various weather and atmospheric phenomena. The effects of the building do not negatively affect employees working inside it. Out of town customers that visit the restaurant often report an odd █████ smell coming from the kitchen area. Some customers report feeling ███ after coming in contact with SCP-XXXX-A.
Employees and locals do not seem to notice SCP-XXXX-A when inside the restaurant. It is still unknown if areas (and entities) around SCP-XXXX share its abilities or if SCP-XXXX-A is related to the restaurant only or to the entirety of Calabash.
SCP-XXXX was first reported after Hurricane Hazel made landfall near Calabash in 1954. It was the only structure remaining intact within an area with a radius of 15 km. The building sustained no structural damage and resumed normal operating hours the following day. Several consecutive natural disasters have struck ██████████ over the past 70 years. Many Calabash locals are of the opinion that "bad weather is drawn to the restaurant". Currently, there is conflicting evidence surrounding this claim.
