Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a room with no artificial lighting. No lighting in the room is acceptable if there is no access to natural light. The specimen is to be fed a purely carnivorous diet. While SCP-XXXX prefers live rodents, it will eat other meat if that is what is available.
Description: SCP-XXXX was discovered roaming the forests near [REDACTED], Washington. The specimen has the appearance of an incorporeal adolescent Felis Catus, or common housecat. It appears to have black fur and white, reflective eyes. The subject is docile and meek when in natural light or in areas of darkness. However, SCP-XXXX becomes aggressive and changes form in artificial lighting (e.g. flashlights, light bulbs, etc.). The specimen grows to approxinately a meter and their eyes begin to give off a crimson glow, with their fur appearing matted and bloodstained. SCP-XXXX is not as directly lethal as many other specimens; however, wounds inflicted by SCP-XXXX will suffer quick-setting infection, which will advance at an abnormal rate. A wound from SCP-XXXX will become green and pungent after approximately thirty minutes if untreated, and progresses to fever, malaise, and eventually loss of function in the afflicted area within the following hour.
Addendum: It is noted that SCP-XXXX does not appear to desire attacking, and will give a plaintive cry identical to an adolescent Felis catus if it sees artificial light like that of a flashlight.
