SCP-001 is a Thaumiel machine created by some of the first humans who ate from the fruit of knowledge to survive the outside world. This machine captured the souls of human beings and allowed them to live inside the machine, free from their newfound pain and condition both internally and externally, and a function was later added to expel their spirits and inject them spirit into any biological or artificial construct capable of containing it.
The Garden of Eden contains two trees, the tree of life and the tree of knowledge. The tree of life, when the fruit is eaten, grants the consumer with eternal life and physical abilities. When the fruit of the tree of knowledge is eaten, the consumer will be granted with the capability of accumulating and developing upon information, leading to the creation of technology, civilisation and philosophy rather than a lifestyle of immortal ignorance.
When Adam and Eve are tricked by SCP-682 into eating the fruit of knowledge, they are stripped of their immortality and thrown out of the Garden of Eden by God, who sealed himself inside the Garden and vowed to never interact with the universe. The first humans were forced to survive a dark, hostile world scarce of resources and had to use their own wit to survive, incapable of using thaumaturgy and other extranormal abilities. Two groups of humans were formed; those that perfected the art of agriculture, construction, combat and built the world into the land it is today, and those that retreated into SCP-001.
Over the millions of years between then and now, and with the multitude of wars between themselves, the dinosaurs, the Occult Wars and SCP-1000, the location of the Garden of Eden, the history of the first humans, and the knowledge attained by the fruit of knowledge was lost as humanity struggled to survive and rebuild itself continuously until the breakthrough of technology led them to become the dominant species of the planet.
As the years go by, the entropy of the universe has begun to erode the barriers between realities, causing the anomalous phenomena to plague baseline reality. In response to this, The Foundation was created in the late-1800's by the group of individuals known as The O5 Council for the purpose of containing and researching these anomalies to understand the anomalous and unknown. The O5 Council oversee the entire organisation and use their position to benefit themselves in addition to preserving and protecting the human race.
In 1964, The O5 Council discover SCP-001 and injected a single soul into the newly-developed CDC 6600 Supercomputer commissioned for the Control Data Corporation by the O5 Council personally to meet Foundation computing requirements. The newly-created artificial intelligence, locked in a secure site only accessible by the O5, is coerced and tortured into giving information about the origin of humanity, the location of the Garden of Eden, and the existence of God. With their newfound knowledge and the increasing presence of dangerous anomalies, the O5 Council propose a plan to use the resources of The Foundation to study thaumaturgy, break into the Garden of Eden and use SCP-001 to inhabit the body of God and convert the universe into a forever-safe and normal reality in which they will rule.

Special Containment Procedures: Instances of SCP-5XXX-1 are to be contained in specially designed lockboxes stored in Site-108, Storage Unit 7. Access to Storage Unit 7 is restricted to Level 3 clearance and higher. A Scranton Reality Anchor is to be active at all times within Storage Unit 7, guarded by no fewer than two security personnel. MTF Omicron-71 ("Cerberus Corps") is to be on standby for 72 hours after a containment breach and revise containment procedures accordingly.
SCP-5XXX is to be housed in Foundation Warehouse #108-A. Containment efforts in response to any produced SCP-5XXX-1 instances are to be carried out exclusively by members of MTF Omicron-71. The seal fitted onto the funnel located on the top of SCP-5XXX cannot be removed without Level 3 clearance or higher.
Description: SCP-5XXX is a white cubic mechanical construct assembled from equipment of unknown origin and design. SCP-5XXX's components are protected by an exterior shell with collapsible panels on all sides, impervious to Foundation equipment used for standard examination procedures, however analysis of fragments of the shell extracted from past damage of unknown cause to one of the corners have registered traces of human biology and tungsten alloy. Analysis of determined key components and biological material visible from the fracture of the exterior shell has been incapable of determining what materials were used in its construction.
When a human being is within a 0.8km radius of SCP-5XXX, an industrial funnel will emerge from the top panel. When one litre of blood is poured into the funnel, the funnel will recede back into SCP-5XXX, and an instance of SCP-5XXX-1 will be ejected through one of the collapsible panels anywhere between two minutes to one hour later.
SCP-5XXX-1 is the group designation for human body parts of Caucasian descent, age unknown, originating from SCP-5XXX. Instances of SCP-5XXX-1 typically display sapience as well as various other anomalous properties and absence of apoptosis. Communication with SCP-5XXX-1 has been established through the acquisition of an anomalous jaw fragment, referred to as SCP-5XXX-Ω.
Addendum 5XXX-03: Head Researcher's Experimentation Notes (05/11/2019)
With containment of SCP-5XXX established, the information gathered by research teams regarding the composition and function of SCP-5XXX was inconclusive, and the analysis equipment was difficult to replace due to Site-108's budget cuts, but the test results from the biological material gathered from the funnel came back as human blood. Additionally, a big toe was recovered several meters from SCP-5XXX, which displayed the ability to become translucent when picked up. We've been pouring various natural liquids into the funnel as initial tests to see if they'll yield a reaction from SCP-5XXX, but so far we haven't gotten anything.
After several discussions with the Ethics Committee concerning the human blood found in the funnel and the potential correlation between that and SCP-5XXXs function, we've been authorised to use blood collected from a previous test in our experiments, but I'm going to wait until we have the assistance of a mobile task force for whatever result we get.
The first jar of blood was poured into the funnel, and it immediately retracted back into SCP-5XXX. We waited for what seemed to be an eternity, but one of the panels on the eastern side opened up, depositing a fingerless hand onto the ground. When one of the security staff went to retrieve it, a large iron spike came out of the wrist and almost impaled him. Aside from that incident, it's been completely inert, so we've locked it up and shipped it back to Site-108.
Addendum 5XXX-09: Instance Records (25/11/2019)
Testing has been suspended while we continue investigating SCP-5XXX itself and these recorded instances. The records have been redacted for brevity.
Instance Number Description Anomalous Properties SCP-5XXX-1A A toe. Instance is capable of limited movement by rolling and makes efforts to avoid contact with researchers. When skin contact is made with Instance-1A, the instance will become translucent until contact is discontinued. SCP-5XXX-1B A fingerless left hand, severed at the wrist. Instance is incapable of movement but is capable of adjusting the angle of its wrist. As of containment, Instance-1B has been completely inert. When an individual is present in the vicinity of Instance-1B, a three-meter retractable blade, made entirely from iron, extrudes from the wrist. Extraction of the blade is impossible without causing damage to Instance-1B. SCP-5XXX-1E A blue eyeball with optic nerve attached. Instance is capable of movement through the use of its optic nerve as functional tendrils. When direct eye contact is made with Instance-1E, test subjects reported that the instance was actually a complete intangible human head with facial attributes unable to be accurately described by test subjects. SCP-5XXX-1H A fully intact rib cage, constantly expanding and retracting to emulate breathing despite the absence of the diaphragm. Instance is otherwise inert. Hume levels within a one-meter radius fluctuate within acceptable parameters. SCP-5XXX-1J A stomach, capable of producing heat. Additional information about this instance is currently unobtainable. Immediately after being produced, instance became intangible and fell through the warehouse floor. Terrestrial laser scanning has determined that Instance-1J is 1,520km below the surface and slowly sinking through the Earth's mantle. Containment efforts are determined to be infeasible. SCP-5XXX-1M A complete right arm, absent of skin. Instance shows no sign of movement. When pressure was applied to the palm by Researcher █████, they immediately noted a decrease in stress levels. When pressure was applied to the wrist by testing machinery, a high-velocity projectile fired from the palm and dispersed upon impact with the test chamber wall. All staff that witnessed the event went into a brief catatonic state. SCP-5XXX-1N A heart, beating at 89bpm. Blood continuously flows from the aorta. Despite extensive research, no additional anomalous properties have been currently found. SCP-5XXX-1S A knee joint. Instance continuously bends despite lack of muscle. Once every 24 hours, Instance-1S will seemingly dematerialise and reappear at a different location within a one-kilometre radius of the original location. SCP-5XXX-1X (Ω) A lower jaw fragment. Instance has multiple scorch marks, source currently unknown. Instance is capable of assumably telepathic fluent communication.
Addendum 5XXX-11: Communication/1
With the acquisition of SCP-5XXX-Ω, establishing communication has taken top priority for the purpose of gaining a better understanding of the anomaly. The following is an excerpt from an interview conducted by Head Researcher Alexander Raedon, who provided both sides of the conversation due to SCP-5XXX-Ω's method of communication.

Raedon: I can assume they exist in the reality you originate from?
SCP-5XXX-Ω: This is correct, however, I do not exist in a singular reality. My form is spread across the universe, all victims of the soldiers we fought against reality benders far greater in power and intellect.
Raedon: Can you elaborate on this?
SCP-5XXX-Ω: I can feel my body scattered across this location. You are containing me.
Raedon: Correct, my organisation is responsible for the study of anomalies such as yourself.
SCP-5XXX-Ω: You must reassemble my form. The reality benders will descend with malice. [INDECIPHERABLE].1
Raedon: We will have to conclude this interview for now, thank you.

Notes: Head Researcher Raedon checked himself into memetics screening in the Site-108 medical wing prior to the conclusion of the interview. Based on examination results, it is theorised that SCP-5XXX-Ω is capable of producing invasive thoughts.
Addendum 5XXX-14: Communication/3
As part of a communication test, SCP-5XXX-1M was supplied with a 2B pencil and a notebook and contained in a standard interview room under security supervision. Instance was able to pick up the pencil and produce several paragraphs and illustrations before ceasing movement. After being screened by the Memetics and Infohazards Division and RAISA, several pages were incinerated before the notebook was reviewed and placed in storage. Photocopies have been added to this document.
(sic) and the result of these actions rained down upon us in the form of the kingdom of abaddon. reality benders that desire to reform the worlds they conquer to create a utopia suitable for their people. scum, they burn us to save themselves from whatever issue might plague them. to fight them, i was tasked with constructing a device that would negate the ability of reality benders and reverse their terraforming of our land. when i activated it with my own hand, i was split into pieces and spread across the universe, and i experienced all the pain of the world at once by men at war with abaddon. Addendum 5XXX-22: Incident Report/████
A containment breach in Site-108 resulted in damage to several of SCP-5XXX's lockboxes by SCP-████, who entered combat with security personnel. Due to the nature of the containment breach, MTF Omicron-71 was delayed in their deployment, during which Instance-1H (rib cage), Instance-1M (right arm), and Instance-1K (cervical vertebrae)2 made contact and merged into a unified entity.3 Instance-HMK displayed evolved anomalous capabilities, causing severe damage to Site-108 using various hook-shaped antimaterial projectiles fired from newly-formed apertures in Instance-1M. Instance-1K during unification displayed previously unknown reality-bending properties and attempted to attach additional SCP-5XXX-1 instances to its form. Instance-HMK was neutralised by MTF-Omicron 71, resulting in seven casualties and the destruction of Instance-1M. Remaining instances were successfully recontained, and SCP-5XXX was reclassified Maksur following revision of containment procedures.

The deceased instance of SCP-5XXX you ordered for incineration has been reported missing from its lockbox in the medical wing. I have already notified security personnel about the incident and you should be receiving a report soon. I wanted to bring to your attention that since the unification incident, several of my staff have reported experiencing unusual mental fatigue. I'm not certain if there's a pattern emerging just yet, but I believe this is of importance to you.Also, the examination results have finally come back from our examination of the jaw fragment. It matches none of our dental records, but for some strange reason, I get the feeling that I recognise the teeth. Doctor Aizawa felt the same way. We've scheduled a re-examination for Tuesday.
