Special Containment Procedures: The item SCP-XXXX is to be kept locked up in a vault and personal should minimize visual contact with the item. Any captured images of the SCP are to be destroyed or contained in the same manner as SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a fist sized emerald from South Africa that will appear red to any onlooker despite all measurements that does not involve the human perception of color indicating that SCP-XXXX is in fact green. Chemical analysis of SCP-XXXX has confirmed that it has chemical composition and lattice structure of an ordinary emerald. The ability to appear red to human vision extends to images of SCP-XXXX and images of images, making any such image an SCP in its own right with designation SCP-XXXX-2. Though SCP-XXXX has not shown any other abilities its memetic nature has raised concerns and as a result all instances of SCP-XXXX-2 has been ordered to be either terminated or to follow the same containment procedure as SCP-XXXX.

Addendum: Tests of artist renditions of SCP-XXXX has been carried out and have shown that only people with red/green colorblindness are able to produce an instance of SCP-XXXX-2.
