Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a cylindrical containment unit, located in ███████, which is to be constantly charged with electricity, the electricity in SCP-XXXXs chamber must be kept via batteries to reduce the likelihood of a power failure. A minimum of 5 guards and 2 researchers must be stationed to monitor electric output in the chamber. Should a power failure occur, protocol 40-Omega will be enacted to prevent a possible IK Class scenario and containment breach.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid entity measuring about 3 meters in height and lacking any defining features other than that it consists entirely of electricity, the way this electricity is suspended and moved is as of yet unknown. The entity does not seem to show any higher intelligence but does appear to be hostile to all living lifeforms.
SCP-XXXX was first discovered in 2003 after a suspicious power outage and airborne anomaly was sighted in the small town of ██████, Italy. MTF team Mu-40 (“Shocking News”) was sent to investigate (See Discovery Log 9/28/2003)
It is theorized that SCP-XXXX has the ability to generate an EMP with unprecedented scale. If the entity were to generate a large enough EMP, a possible IK Class scenario could occur. To help reduce the chances, the O5 have approved the construction of an isolated containment unit in Siberia, though construction is ongoing as of █/█/████.

MTF Mu-40 was sent to investigate a severe power outage in ████, Italy.
Mu-40 consists of Mu-1A Helicopter unit (20 MTF Mu-40 members currently onboard helicopter) with Mu-2 and Mu-3 scouting on the ground.

<Begin Log>
Mu-1A: Mu-40, radio check. Two and three, you hear me?
Mu-2: I hear you
Mu-3: Loud and clear
Mu-1A: Good, in case you weren’t all briefed, we’re meant to be checking out this area. The researchers back at ███████ think there’s something up. We’ll be up in the sky, you two are on the ground.
Mu-2: Any idea of what we’re looking for?
Mu-1A: Something bright and fast, never got too many details
Mu-2: Creeps me out a bit but something bright should be easy enough
[Radio silence as Mu-40 searches the streets]
Mu-1A: See anything?
Mu-3: Nope, nothing around. Not even any civilians
Mu-2: It’s too quiet, you’d think at least a few people would be out looting or something
Mu-3: Yeah, it’s like the whole town was abandon-
[Mu-3 is cut off by a loud electrical hissing noise. Video and audio feed connection is lost]
[Connection re-established]
Mu-2: -Down, I repeat, Mu-1A is down!
Mu-3: Get down! The bullets are doing fuck all against this thing!
[Mu-2’s camera quickly shifts from SCP-XXXX and back to the Mu-1A helicopter which appears to be smoldering with a large visible hole in the fuselage]
[Loud cracking and rumbling can be heard in the background]
Mu-2: Goddammit! Ignore the mission, just run! We can’t fight this!
[Video and audio feed connection is lost]
[Connection re-established]
Mu-2: Repeat, Mu-3 is down! Requesting evac!
[Continued hissing and rumbling in the background]
[1 minute and 29 seconds elapse, Mu-2 can be heard running]
Mu-2: Can anyone hear me? Get me the fuck out of here!

Closing Statement: [Mu-2 is evacuated with minor injuries, communications equipment had been destroyed through what appears to be an EMP. He was interviewed after a two day rest period (See Interview Log XXXX-1)]

Interviewee: Sgt. Brian Wells (Formerly Mu-2 of MTF Mu-40)
Interviewer: Dr. ████

Doctor: Alright, just for the record, where were you when Mu-40 was destroyed?
Sgt. Wells: Sounds like you’re pinning the blame on me
Doctor: No one is blaming anyone, this is just for the record
[Sgt. Wells can be heard sighing before continuing]
Sgt. Wells: We were in northern Italy, near the Swiss border. We were told to check the area for some flying anomaly that could’ve caused the blackout.
Doctor: And I assume you found the anomaly?
Sgt. Wells: The son of a bitch found us is what happened, my entire team is dead!
[Sgt. Wells is now standing, while appearing visibly agitated]
Doctor: Please sit down Sergeant, I didn’t mean to anger you
[After a few seconds, Sgt. Wells returns to his seat]
Doctor: Now about the anomaly, can you describe it?
Doctor: That’s perfectly alright, Is there anything else you remember?
Sgt. Wells: It took down the entire Mu-1A helicopter by pointing at it, it just raised its hand and a beam of light just cut right through the fuselage.
Doctor: I see, I don’t suppose you have any idea of how to contain it?
Sgt. Wells: It didn’t like when we used our radios, looked like it was covering its ears. After about two or three seconds it started screaming, it sounded like loud static, Radios stopped working for almost 10 minutes.
Doctor: So you’d recommend radio waves to incapacitate it?
Sgt. Wells: It shut them down, it’ll only work for a few seconds. And I don’t suppose you can move that fast.
Doctor: What we can do is try
Sgt. Wells: What? Like we did?
[5 seconds of silence elapse]
Doctor: Alright, we’ll stop here. Just one last thing, I see you’ve requested memory redaction?
Sgt. Wells: Yeah, I don’t want to remember seeing that thing, I don’t want to remember my squads screams.
Doctor: Very well

Closing Statement: [Sgt. Wells was given memory redaction therapy without incident. The information obtained from this interview was eventually used to incapacitate and capture SCP-XXXX]

Addendum XXXX-1: While SCP-XXXX usually resembles a humanoid, it has been seen changing into an ellipsoidal shape to take flight. Whether or not SCP-XXXX can change into other forms has yet to be discovered.

Addendum XXXX-2: SCP-5013 has been seen to attack any humans and communications devices. Methods of attack vary but usually consist of concentrated electrical beams or small localised EMP bursts. Wired devices do not seem to elicit this response however.
