Item#: XXXX
Level3
Containment Class:
keter
Secondary Class:
none
Disruption Class:
keneq
Risk Class:
critical

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX will be contained in a specialized leviathan-class aquatic containment cell in Area-02. Several different species of fish should be released into SCP-XXXXs cell for feeding daily. No more than 500 fish should be released into the containment cell, and no less than 100. Failure to follow this procedure will result in disciplinary action. In the scenario where SCP-XXXX begins to ram its cell aggressively, MTF Alpha-8 "Angler Feeders" should be dispatched to Area-02 from Outpost 8.

Description:
SCP-XXXX features a long, slender, and muscular body structure measured to be 55 meters in length. SCP-XXXX possesses four caudal fins and two pectoral fins, with two dark red dorsal fins running throughout its body. It also has two ventral fins taking a portion of SCP-XXXXs stomach. Most of SCP-XXXXs fins are of dark red coloration, featuring very slight bioluminescence in both the fins and other red areas of its body.

The skull of SCP-XXXX features a large horn, which it often uses to attack its cell. The original use of this horn was assumed to be for attacking prey, predator, or even each other. The exact details are unknown due to only having one live species of its kind. SCP-XXXX also has two pairs of eyes with grey sclera and dark green irises which are assumed to have been used to navigate dark, underwater environment and appears to have very good eyesight. More researcher would be required to confirm this. Along with this, it has two large, maroon mandibles on each side of its skull which slowly become darker in color. These mandibles are tipped with four, black claws which SCP-XXXX utilizes to capture larger prey and either incapacitate it or force it into its large oral cavity.

Recovery Log- 11/10/19

First Responders: MTF Alpha-8 "Angler Feeders"

Debrief: SCP-XXXX was brought to the attention of the Foundation after several social media posts suggesting the existence of the "loch ness monster" after multiple sightings of large dorsal fins and horns. Alpha-8 sent to investigate

Results: Alpha-8 arrived on scene at approx. 4:13 A.M. Upon arrival, Alpha-8 began descent of S.S Angler. At 200 meter depth, Alpha-8 reported hearing unidentified "roars" from a distance. Descent continued to 500 meters, where the reported noises got louder. At approximately 600 meters, Alpha-8 suffered critical damage to the hull of S.S. Angler. SCP-XXXX was identified, and grabbed the submarine with its mandibles and began to try to eat S.S Angler. Lethal force was applied with minimal effect. Standard weaponry and torpedoes proved ineffective for SCP-XXXX. Specialized torpedoes containing sleep-inducing gas (obtained from SCP-████) was authorized by Alpha-8 Captain. Distress signal sent. SCP-XXXX was successfully put to sleep, however S.S Angler was suffering critical damage and was unable to operate further. S.S Feeder and S.S Echo were dispatched to the area. SCP-XXXX was netted and contained successfully, with ten(10) recorded fatalities.
Analysis: There isn't much to say. We lost a lot of good men and woman to this beast, but it was not in vain. I'll be authorizing an expedition to the surrounding area to see if we can find anything this thing left behind. We will be much better prepared if there is another one, god forbid.

Test A - 11/24/19

Subject: Large Aquatic Drone
Procedure: Observe the reaction of SCP-XXXX to a drone the size of a human being.
Results: SCP-XXXX observed the drone, but disregarded it.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX may have the intelligence to make the difference of a drone and actual food. For my next test, I may have to include a human test subject. I formally request authorization of two Class-D inmates.

Test B - 11/30/19

Subject: D-5013, D-7837
Procedure: Place D-5013 in a standard bathysphere and then placed it into SCP-XXXXs containment chamber. Placed D-7837 outside of the containment chamber.
Results: SCP-XXXX immediately grabbed the Submarine, resulting in critical hull damage. D-5013 diseased. SCP-XXXXs cell damaged attempting to attack security personnel and D-7837. Alpha-8 dispatched to Area-02.
Analysis: This definitely could have gone better. SCP-XXXX is extremely aggressive toward life. D-7837 was confirmed deceased when SCP-XXXX breached the hull of its cell, and swallowed her whole. We lost two good men as well today, and I would like to request heavy restrictions against human test subjects for SCP-XXXX.
