The Swans

Special containment procedures: SCP-XXXX are to be contained within an indoor enclosure with no less than 50 square meters of space. The enclosure is to be completely soundproof and have no windows or other transparent areas. Observation is to be carried out using a thermal camera with no audio recording capability.

Feeding of SCP-XXXX or removal of waste from SCP-XXXX's enclosure is to be carried out by a single member of D-class personnel who is to wear protective gear, a blindfold and a noise cancelling headset, guided by personnel viewing the enclosure through a thermal camera.

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a female mute swan weighing 11kg. SCP-XXXX-2 is a male mute swan weighing 16kg.

Whenever another animal makes visual contact with SCP-XXXX-1, either directly or via a digital image, they will invariably become compelled to touch it, with compulsions becoming stronger over time. SCP-XXXX-1 will usually hiss at the subject and shy away from their attempts. However, SCP-XXXX-2 will immediately become hostile, attacking the subject. If the subject is rendered unconcious, the effect of SCP-XXXX-1 wears off.

However, if the subject successfully makes physical contact with SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2 will spread its wings and produce what is believed to be a continuous hiss. Any other organism which sees or hears SCP-XXXX-2 while it is in this state, with the exception of SCP-XXXX-1, will begin screaming and bleeding from the ears and eyes. This will continue for approximately 2 hours, with the subject often attempting to commit suicide or begging to be terminated by foundation staff, after which SCP-XXXX-2 will return to a neutral state. All subjects recovered at this time have been reported dead.

Notes:

• SCP-XXXX-2 has been shown to be able to terminate it's victims in significantly less time than the aforementioned 2 hours. It is believed that the drawn out nature of the process can be attributed to malice on the part of SCP-XXXX-2;
• SCP-XXXX-2 will also use it's anomalous attack as a means of self-defence, shown when Agent ██████ attempted to terminate it during a containment breach on ██/██/████.
• SCP-XXXX-2 has, on one occasion, used it's anomalous attack without provocation on a D-class personnel who was cleaning its enclosure. It's reasons for doing so are unknown.

Recovery Log

SCP-XXXX were discovered in a a national park in [DATA EXPUNGED], England at 15:36, 15/05/20██ after local authorities contacted the Foundation to search the area following reports of several people going missing. Reports included loud screaming being heard from a nearby lake, but authorities had been unable to determine the source. After a two week investigation, SCP-XXXX were taken into custody.

Addendum 1

As of ██/██/20██, SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 have produced a clutch of 4 cygnets. For now, they have been given the collective designation SCP-XXXX-3. SCP-XXXX-3 appear to be immune to the anomalous effect of both parents. SCP-XXXX-3 have shown no other anomalous effects, though testing has proven difficult due to the nature of SCP-XXXX-2.
