Item #: SCP-4483

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4483 is to be kept in a 4m x 4m x 4m containment chamber at all times. The interior surfaces of SCP-4483’s containment chamber are to be painted with black paint with the Hexadecimal code #000000, any man-made reflective items should be kept outside of SCP-4483’s containment chamber at all times to prevent instances of SCP-4483-A# from forming.

In the case of any instance of SCP-4483-1 exiting SCP-4483 the instance is to be immediately contained in a 4m x 4m x 4m containment chamber lined with 0.5m thick Steel. Any instance of SCP-4483-2 encountered should be immediately neutralized with cryonic followed by napalm munitions. All instances of SCP-4483-A# are to be immediately neutralized.

Description: SCP-4483 is a standing mirror dated from the 18th century due to its gothic appearance. SCP-4483 was discovered when a few instances of SCP-4483-1 were discovered wandering outside a farmhouse in ██████, United Kingdom. The mirror measures 1.53 meters in height, and 0.61 meters in width. Attempting to touch the surface of the mirror will result in the individual getting pulled into the mirror and an instance of SCP-4483-1 will exit, the same outcome occurs when standing in front of the mirror for approximately 25 seconds. Upon entering the mirror the individual will come out of the mirror in an apparently “Mirrored” version of our reality, entering the mirror will immediately result in an instance of SCP-4483-2 reanimating, it will then begin to hunt down the individual.

SCP-4483-1 is a heavily distorted, but distinguishable replica of the individual taken into the mirror. SCP-4483-1 appears to have a similar if not slightly greater level of intelligence than the original individual(see Addendum 20██, 4-██). Instances of 4483-1 show greater levels of speed, strength, and agility than the original individual. The only exception to this appears to be when any Anomalous entity is taken into the mirror, when this happens the entity’s corresponding instance of SCP-4483-1 appears to have lost all anomalous effects.

SCP-4483-2 is a replica of any deceased individual to a near-perfect accuracy, the only difference is the surface of SCP-4483-2 appears to be completely black. SCP-4483-2 has never been observed exiting the mirror as when an individual exits the mirror the instances will immediately collapse. All instances of SCP-4483-2 appear to have vital signs when in their reanimated state, once the individual leaves the mirror the instances will immediately cease all vital signs. Upon contact with the skin with an “animated” instance of SCP-4483-2 the individual will begin to turn black, starting at the feet and making its way up until the victim is completely black at which point all vital signs of the victim will cease and the victim is considered an instance of SCP-4483-2. This does not appear to work on anomalous entities.

SCP-4483-A# instances of SCP-4483-A# have been observed to be any man-made reflective object that has “seen its reflection”. Instances of SCP-4483-A# behave exactly as SCP-4483 behaves but functionality depends on the size of SCP-4483-A#(See SCP-4483-A1 - A6).

SCP-4483-A1 - A6:
SCP-4483-A1:

Description: SCP-4483-A1 was a video monitor that was going to be used to view the video feed of future explorations when its reflective surface had been reflected by SCP-4483.
Note: immediately after exposure the technician handling the monitor had been grabbed by the shoulders and pulled through the monitor. SCP-4483-A1 was immediately destroyed by on-site personnel

SCP-4483-A2:

Description: [Data Expunged]
Experiment Log SCP-4483-A2: [Data Expunged]

SCP-4483-A3:

Description: SCP-4483-A3 was an alarm clock made by ███████ which had a >slightly reflective translucent plastic covering its LCD.

Experiment Log SCP-4483-A3: SCP-4483-A3 was exposed to SCP-4483 as a test to see if the effects observed in SCP-4483-A1 could be recreated in a testing environment. After exposure, SCP-4483-A3 was taken into a separate containment chamber where D-4683 was told to stand in front of SCP-4483-A3 for a total of 25 seconds. D-4683 was complainant, and as expected 25 seconds after stepping in front of SCP-4483-A3 the disfigured hand of an instance of SCP-4438-1 could be seen grasping at D-4683 but it could not reach. D-4683 was told to leave the testing chamber and SCP-4483-A3 was immediately destroyed.

SCP-4483-A4:

Description: [Data Expunged]
Experiment Log SCP-4483-A4: [Data Expunged]

SCP-4483-A5:

Description: SCP-4483-A5 was a pair of ██████ brand eyeglasses that were previously thought to be none reflective.

Note: Immediately after exposure, an instance of SCP-4483-1 had stuck its finger through the back face of the lens and then proceed to gouge Dr. █████’s eye out.

SCP-4483-A6:

Description: SCP-4483-A6 was a █████ brand smartphone with its battery removed as a safety precaution and a semi-reflective screen.
Experiment Log SCP-4483-A6: SCP-4483-A6 was exposed to SCP-4483 in order to produce the required effect for the experiment. Shortly after exposure D-5609 was instructed to hold the phone as though she was using it. As expected 25 seconds later and instance of SCP-4483-1 reached out of the screen grabbing D-5609’s thumb and tried to pull it through the screen but instead ended up tearing D-5609’s thumb off and pulling it through the screen. Shortly after D-5609’s right hand was amputated due to an unknown infection and she was administered Class-A amnestics and returned to her cell.

Addendum 20██, 4-██:

Interviewed: SCP-4483-1(Copy of D-1534)

Interviewer: Dr. ██

Foreword: Dr. ██ Was testing the intelligence of the SCP-4483-1 instance when it begins speaking and asking questions.
<Begin Log, 14:25 April ██, 20██>

Dr. ██: “alright let’s begin with a simple intelligence test.” Dr. ██ then held up a card with a blue square.

SCP-4483-1: “Blue.”

Dr. ██: “Very good now if you coul-.”

SCP-4483-1: “Do you have a god?”
Dr. ██: “Excuse me?”
SCP-4483-1: “Do your people have a god?”
Dr. ██: “Why yes we have many religions with many different gods like Christianity, Buddhism, Catholicism, sa-”
SCP-4483-1: “Wrong.”
Dr. ██: “What?”
SCP-4483-1: “They are all WRONG!”
Dr. ██: “Could you elaborate?”
SCP-4483-1: “There is only one true religion, and that is the fractured.” SCP-4483-1 then looks up at the light fixture and seems to talk to himself for a short period. “To join his dark army and purge this unworthy world and claim it for the fractured would be the greatest blessing he could bestow upon his followers.”
Dr. ██: “Who is he? Does the dark army refer to SCP-4483-2? Why is our world unworthy? Please if you tell us more, our worlds could help each other.”

SCP-4483-1: “Silence filth.”
<End Log, 14:31 April ██, 20██>

Closing Statement: SCP-4483-1 is silent for the rest of the interview and no other instance of SCP-4483-1 has spoken since except for intelligence tests that do not require full sentences.
