Enclosed you will find the mandatory recruit intake form, equipment recommendations list, as well as the UPDATED CLEARANCE recruit guidelines, and a mission dossier regarding your new assignment directive.

GENERAL-
MTF Alpha 121 “Nexus” is the first official long-term joint intelligence task force, with the overall objective of investigating, targeting and eliminating threats to human survival without regard to the success of the parent agencies. It represents an unprecedented and shared responsibility between the SCP, GOC, FBI-UIU, ORIA, GRU-P, and others. Members are chosen based on their ingenuity, resistance to authority, and skill sets in the occult, black operations, espionage, linguistics, and diplomacy. Operatives combine strike and assessment elements, and are authorized to “bend the rules” for the sake of the greater good when necessary. They are highly vetted, and equipped with specialized tech to ensure mission success without any thought of a hard budget. They're the tip of the spear, inglorious renegades, and sometimes, the last line of defense.
NEXUS CHARTER
After the so-called “Nexus” event saw a number of humanity-hostile organizations forming a pseudo anti-government united in the shared goal of destroying the world order and resetting humanity to the stone age with themselves as the beneficiaries, it became evident that the Foundation, the GOC, and a number of other organizations with aligning interests needed to find a method of sharing intelligence that does not compromise the integral mission of the parent agency while still furthering the interests of humanity as a whole. Mobile Task Force Alpha 121, formerly MTF Iliad, a blacklisted, skeleton crew of operatives with dubious loyalty to the Foundation and questionable operational techniques, proved to be a leading force in uncovering and even dismantling hostile operations.
Unfortunately, lack of intelligence sharing, lack of trust, and having to navigate bureaucratic problems stymied their efforts and resulted in the Nexus event, which required the use of SCP-2000 following a failure of the GOC’s Procedure Pizzicato to prevent total planetary and multi dimensional collapse. Liberal usage of Scranton Reality Anchors, horrific personal sacrifice on behalf of the Foundation and GOC, and unacceptable loss of life on a scale heretofore unseen still left a broken world in their wake. SCP-2000 was the only option to fully repair the damage. The world collectively lost six months of memory, but the Broken Masquerade class event had occurred, humanity had, to some degree, been made aware of the GOC and Foundation, and questions needed answering. Leadership of the GOC and Foundation agreed with smaller agencies that what was needed was a joint task force.
For several months, the planning to implement this unit was undertaken. Mobile Task Force Iliad, now referred to by many as “Nexus task force” or “MTF Nexus” due to their responsibility in finding methods to destroy and contain the anomalies of the nexus event alongside rogue GRU-P operatives, the Serpent's Hand, the GOC, and civilian intelligence agencies, had been given new operatives to replace those killed (having sustained almost 90% unrecoverable losses) and upgraded equipment (including the 963-3-A nano paratech devices) and a new set of missions to undertake.
Now that they have returned from a period in the field which, for them, lasted over six years of operating together but in our scale occurred over a few months, and brought with them operatives from decades ago who have expertise on many modern existential threats thanks to [REDACTED] technology, now that they have contained yet another dangerous threat that was at risk of becoming an XK-class event while sustaining minimal casualties, the GOC and a number of other global organizations have agreed to accept MTF Alpha 121 as the “Inglorious Renegades” that they have demonstrated a capability to be, but also, to assist in their oversight.
THUS: MTF Nexus will henceforth be considered a Joint Mobile Task Force, with technology and support of the majority of humanity-friendly organizations, regardless of direct Foundation alignment or not. While they will be held fully responsible for their actions, we believe that their success comes from their lack of centralized loyalty, not in spite of it, and that their commitment to the good of humanity no matter the flag it waves is a symbol of the future we must embrace if we hope to survive.
They will undergo new orientation training alongside the GOC, FBI-UIU and even, to a very limited extent, the Serpent's Hand, among others, and will handle operations of counter terrorism, investigations, and intelligence that may be deemed too sensitive for other MTFs to handle without allowing factional loyalty to disrupt their pursuit of objectives.
They will work alongside other MTFs, especially Alpha 9, and GOC Strike teams, and will functionally be both the hammer and the eyes of their operations.
JMTF Alpha 121 “Nexus,” the “Inglorious Renegades” will fill a unique external intelligence role as the Foundation and the GOC find shared objectives in the dismantling of organizations overtly hostile to humanity’s survival. This is the purpose of MTF Nexus.
