Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures:
It is strongly recommended that any power outlet xxxx is connected to be limited to 10 Amp current draw, see addendum xxxx-01. While the object can be used by level 2 personnel, classified data should not be stored on it.It is currently contained in a small spare office, secured by a standard card reader.

Description:
SCP-XXXX appears to be a simple, custom built computer case measuring (research ATX cases). Currently, it is connected to a standard set of peripherals to facilitate testing. A manual was recovered with the object that documents many of its uses.

The object runs an as yet unidentified GUI operating system. XXXX demonstrates a remarkable ability to read, edit, and possibly write any file type on any and all media tested. The former seems to be achieved through a remarkable library of software loaded onto the device, the latter more greatly demonstrates its anomalous abilities.

When approached with a form of media, SCP-XXXX will spawn the appropriate drive or port. If the media is physically too large to use an internal drive, XXXX will either modify its proportions or spawn an external drive which is connected permanently to the main unit. See addendum Y for further details of tested media.

As previously mentioned XXXX has the ability to also read and edit any format of file, additionally it can has been tested to run any type of software regardless what architecture it was intended for. Performance seems to generally be reported as "adequate" or "above average" by testing personnel. The object's power draw and heat output vary based on the software ran and seem to not be limited. Due to this and the injuries incurred during incident Y, it is strongly recommended that any tests use software intended for consumer level computers and XXXX's power limit be limited to prevent injury to personnel and/or damage to Foundation property.
