Here is where I would put a banner… IF I HAD ONE!!!! (ꐦ°᷄д°᷅)

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Maybe less, maybe more. Either way, it's Image Contest Time, so you know what that means…

Write an SCP using at least one community-sourced image!

How does this work?

It's simple! You will be assigned two randomly selected images sourced from the community. If you wish to enter, all you need to do is post in the comments with two properly sourced and licensed images (this means it must fit within our site license, which you can read more about here and here!) inside a neat little collapsible. Remember, if your images are not compliant with the site's license, they will not be considered for use in this contest and you may not enter until you supply compliant images.

Where can I find CC compliant images?

Here are some good sites to find images.

Contest Rules:

1) Your article must contain at least one of your assigned images. You may use both, but the minimum is one for solo articles and two for collaborative efforts.

2) Entries are subject to the usual deletion process.

3) Minor edits are allowed - grammar, spelling, formatting, etc. Try not to change the article fundamentally. Additionally, you may edit your assigned images but not so much that they are no longer recognizable.

4) Your article must maintain at least a +20 rating by the end to be considered for the prize. If none maintain this rating, none win. This is a challenge - put your best effort in!

5) Articles must be new - please write something new and original for this contest, don't take already in-progress drafts and finish them. We want everyone to start on an even playing field.

6) You may not trade assigned images.

7) Posting will begin on DATE and end on DATE, and the winners will be announced on DATE.

8) You are limited to one (1) entry for the contest.

9) You are allowed to collaborate on your entries. Collaborative parties can’t be made up of more than 2 people, and any collaborative entry counts as the only entry eligible for all participants. If you are collaborating, you must use one image from each party's image pool.

10) You may edit your assigned pictures, so long as they do not become unrecognizable as the original image.

11) Tag your entries with "imagecon" once you post!

Winning entries will be featured on the front page!
