Special Containment Procedures: The Mobile Task Force unit attempted to take down the site but to no avail the site seemed to be extremely secure and failed with everything from DDOS attacks to SQL injections. The MTFs however did manage to add a pop up to the site, the pop up will play a series of flashing images stunning the viewers brain and causing them to forget the events of the day. This solution is temporary till we can fully contain the SCP-XXXX.

Description: First contact with SCP-XXXX was an alert given to the foundation from a dubious source concerning a possible data leak sourced at a public wiki, upon further investigation of this “leak” it was found that although some similarities occurred where information corresponded to our own data, the site was in fact, complete fiction. However while looking into this site’s users it was found that after becoming a member of this “fandom” these users would start demonstrating strange behaviors, including but not limited to; paranoia, self-isolation, delusions and occasionally would result in the users suicide.

The data leak referred to was of 2 Items; Item 1 SCP-035 the Keter class object also know as the "Possesive mask", where a user had created a post that reference many similarities to our own records. Item 2 SCP-1499 the safe class object also know as "The Gas Mask", a user had refernce with striking detail the effects of SCP-1499 paired with a description of the object.

What is most curious is that during the investigation, when attempting to assign researchers to the project, 9 out of 10 said researchers would blatantly ignore their set tasks. When asked about the site they would seem confused as if they had never heard of it despite being briefed that very morning. At this point the anomaly was assigned as SCP-XXXX and the foundation will continue research to assess the possible dangers and nature of the anomaly.

Addendum: Report from on site personnel-

Due to the Unknown aspect of SCP-XXXX a group of 50 D-Class subjects have been gathered and briefed to avoid putting any useful personnel in danger. Out of the 50 subjects only 6 would follow their tasks in learning about the site. We will now refer to them as subjects 1 to 6. Even using, at some point’s extreme methods of persuasion, the remaining 44 subjects would be completely unable to focus on their task. 10 of these failed subjects where kept for observation and the others to be transferred.

The successful 6 were told to focus on individual fictional stories on the site and observed over a course of 4 hours, no changes in personality to be noted. Each of the 6 were then told to start expanding their knowledge of the site and where observed over a week of doing so.

After the 3rd day of exposure to SCP-XXXX subjects started exhibiting reclusion from socializing, their responses to questions both unrelated and relevant to the experiment became vague. On the 4th day of exposure, subjects started refusing meals and becoming engrossed in the site, refusing to even move to use the toilet at times resulting in them soiling themselves where they sat. By the 5th day of exposure the subjects became erratic, attempting to talk about the fictional stories as if they were reality but their words were incoherent, subject 1, 2, 5 and 6 had tried adding their own fictional stories to the wiki, every one of them seeming to get ignored by the community and falling into a depressive mood.

Subject 5 being notable for trying to kill himself after his story was ignored, bearing in mind this is man who killed his wife and children without remorse, after his failed suicide he cried in the corner of the room like an infant. On day 6, tests were performed subject 2 and 4 to see if it was possible to bring them back from this psychosis they had developed.

By wiping the memory of subject 2 and 4 the researchers were able return them to the state they were before the experiment with no adverse effects to be noted.

We have yet to confirm the exact nature of SCP-XXXX and through many tests have been unable to confirm how these symptoms are passed to the subjects and advise caution when dealing with SCP-XXXX.
