Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in Containment Locker XXXX in Site 50, with access barred to all personnel under Level 3 (Three).

Description: SCP-XXXX is a tattered dark green jacket, resembling that of the character “Nagito Komaeda” from the series Danganronpa. The inside is coated in a soft fleece, and the outside is knit durafabric. A pattern of red squares of various opacities cover the left shoulder. The jacket has no identifying markings to determine who manufactured it.
SCP-XXXX’s effects become apparent as soon as it is worn. Subjects wearing SCP-XXXX become extremely “in character”, acting as Nagito Komaeda until the jacket is removed or expiry. These subjects are to be referred to as SCP-XXXX-A. SCP-XXXX-A acts extremely docile, often making self-deprecating comments about itself. When questioned about their life, XXXX-A will always tell researchers that they lived a fairly privileged life until being diagnosed with several terminal illnesses, yet, in their own words, “their luck wouldn’t let them die”, leaving them physically weak.

The longer SCP-XXXX-A is under XXXX’s effects, the more their biology changes. Less than two consecutive days of wearing XXXX results in either no changes or incredibly minor ones. Between two to four days results in XXXX-A’s hair starting to become white, eye color changing to gray, and memories of their life starting to fade. After four days, a dramatic spike in weight loss along with a drop in health occurs, with illnesses like frontotemporal dementia appearing, and, if XXXX-A is female or lacks them for other reasons, reconstruction of the genitalia into male organs will occur as well. After roughly a week, XXXX-A has been changed fully, and as autopsies have shown, on the genetic level, as XXXX-A’s blood has become a shade of magenta.
SCP-XXXX was discovered in an apartment building in [REDACTED] after local police were contacted about the discovery of the body of ████ ████, who is believed to be the first instance of SCP-XXXX-A. Personnel were able to confiscate XXXX, and Class-A amnestics were administered.
Addendum XXXX.1: SCP-XXXX-A3 Interview log: Transcript of interview with SCP-XXXX-A3. Subject is the most recent instance of SCP-XXXX-A, having been discovered after authorities were called due to them acting bizarrely after obtaining SCP-XXXX. Subject is in high school and was brought in for questioning after being apprehended by Foundation personnel.

Dr. Lorraine: Alright then J██, where did you find the jacket?
XXXX-A3: Well, it was a gift from S████, my girlfriend. She and I are both into Danganronpa, and she said she found it while shopping and wanted to give me a gift.
Dr. Lorraine: Mhm, and how did you feel when you put the jacket on?
XXXX-A3: Idunno, it was warm, soft I guess.
Dr. Lorraine: No, I mean, did you experience anything?
XXXX-A3: I..I guess I felt more…hopeful? Like…Hope was this beautiful godsend of a thing that…I was worthless compared to. I had a reason to keep going, but…soon hope was all I could think of.
Dr. Lorraine: I see. Hope is truly wonderful, is it not?
XXXX-A3: Heh, yeah…..
