Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5923 is contained in a standard containment unit in Facility 18. SCP-5923 is to be placed in a steel cube and can be unlocked via remote control. At no time should any affected personnel be removed from the object. SCP-5923-1 may be interviewed twice a week and should be given at least an intelligence test. Any hostile -1 may be terminated by security personnel at there own judgment
Description: SCP-5923 is a standard corrugated cardboard box with two holes cut into its front. If an individual wears SCP-5923 on the head, the individual’s vision will gradually begin to darken until eventual complete blindness. Those who wear SCP-5923 reportedly also hear whispers in an unidentified language from inside the box as well as seeing “monsters” in the corner of their eyes. It is unknown if these “monsters” are separate entities or just a side effect of SCP-5923. If the SCP is removed from someone's head they will receive severe schizophrenia and will commit suicide
