SCP-XXXX.
Special Containment Procedures:
Description: SCP-XXXX is the illusion of six stone carvings on the grounds of a Buddhist temple (in the woods/along a walking path?) in the city of Gotemba, Japan. To all observers and from all angles of view, the statues appear to be approximately 75 cm tall and made of grey stone. All six depict a single featureless individual (presumably a monk) in robes, facing forward in front of a plain background. Stones cannot be damaged to take samples, physical testing descriptions/attempts, etc
SCP-XXXX's memetic effect is produced when a subject observes it continuously for at least 45 seconds. Subjects describe suddenly becoming aware of the fact that the six statues are not actually there, but are disguising the presence of something else; at this point subjects are considered instances of SCP-XXXX-1. This initial realization of the illusion is apparently a cognitohazard, as the subjects describe being compelled to understand what the statues actually are. It is also the first piece of anomalously transferred information received by SCP-XXXX-1 instances.
Addendum:
Interview logs, descriptions of information gained/intellectual accomplishments of previously unremarkable Class D subjects
Internal Foundation communications describing their realization of the security risk this poses. At first they attempt to manipulate for intelligence, then decide to isolate it.

Rationale
As automatic computer technology matures, we will expect to see greater use of such appliances in civilian contexts. This presents the risk of SCP-4882 manifestation in these settings. Project MAKSUR aims to mitigate this risk through political manipulation of actors in industry and academia.
