SCP is a humanoid hand puppet, created by Wondertainment, which is constructed with felt and polyester and includes a hole in the back for the wearer into insert their hand and move the mouth. SCP cannot move on its own and does not seem to have any way of communicating with subjects or doctors without a wearer, meaning it is therefore relatively easy to contain.

Any subjects that wear the SCP are almost immediately able to perform ventriloquy with expert ease, as well as imitate a deep, gravelly voice. All subjects so far have been able to replicate this voice in the exact same manner, regardless of their normal vocal pitch range. Whilst remaining physically healthy, the subject (now effectively SCP-XXXX-1) will then constantly refer to the puppet as a separate entity, as well as talk to themselves whilst alternating between their normal voice and the puppet's voice.

Doctors suggest the SCP invokes some form of Split Personality Disorder in subjects. However, despite the fact that the effects of this disorder differ from person to person, the puppet once again displays the same characteristics regardless of the identity or mental profile of the wearer - rude, sarcastic and short-tempered.The subject constantly belittles themselves, believing it to in fact be the puppet who is insulting them. The puppet remains uncooperative with doctors, only concerned with pondering methods of escape or verbally abusing the subject.

Removing the SCP from the patient has proven difficult. The patient will refuse to part with it, resulting in them possibly becoming violent. Even after being separated, the effects of the SCP will remain and the patient will continue talking to themselves and occasionally mimicking the voice. More mentally unstable patients also become distraught and constantly request the puppet back. It is yet unknown as to how these effects remain or why.
