SCP-XXXX - A Ship of changeable size
rating: 0+x

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is held at Site-██ in a 66.4 meter (218 ft) by 75.3 meter (247 ft) underground hanger, the average size of a Boing 747-400 hanger. The facility’s parking lot is a disguised hanger-bay door, able to drop down low enough to fit any vehicle parked on top of it, then the door will proceed to retract to either side, allowing SCP-XXXX to vertically take-off out of the hangar.

SCP-XXXX’s hanger is only accessible to Level 4 personnel, that have submitted a formal “Testing Request” form to O5-██ through the proper channels.

At least four security personnel are to stand at the main entrance of SCP-XXX’s hanger. Anyone attempting to enter SCP-XXXX’s hanger without the proper papers will be subject to reprimand and even termination.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 60.9 meter (200ft) by 22.2 meter (72.75ft) space-capable craft, with Hydrogen, Ion, and Atmospheric engines. SCP-XXXX has 14 point-defense cannons, and one 3 barrel heavy artillery cannon.

SCP-XXXX’s main ability is its intricate Nano-Fabrication Systems. SCP-XXXX can quickly repair any damage to its hull with this system by sending the small repair droids capable of replacing damaged systems and armor with 100% accuracy of the original ship.

This system is also used for modifications to the vessel. (See addendum SCP-XXXX-A for a list of modifications made since SCP-XXXX’s recovery).

SCP-XXXX also includes a kinetic energy absorption shield, the preface of this device is to stop all incoming projectiles from hitting the ship using electromagnetic, and gravitational manipulation technology.

SCP-XXXX can also cloak itself from any sensors and optical method of sight (be it via infrared cameras, electromagnetic radiation detectors, and motion sensors). The technology used in this cloak makes it impossible to detect the ship on most conventional tracking and radar technologies, but if one can get the signal for the onboard tracking beacon, it is nearly impossible to avoid this form of tracking. The technology implemented in SCP-XXXX’s cloaking is unknown and testing to figure out the technology is underway.

Recovery:

SCP-XXXX was found orbiting an asteroid in geostationary orbit around earth’s moon. SCP-XXXX was offline and badly damaged, the systems were offline, preventing it from performing self-repairs. The foundation was able to send a recovery team of 3 agents through NASA to the ship in attempts to study it for creation of more ships like it.

SCP-XXXX’s systems was somehow restarted and began self-repair and data-recovery processes. By the time the data-recovery process was complete, SCP-XXXX was 73.21% repaired. Agents on the ship were demanded by an onboard artificial intelligence to identify themselves. Agent ██████ proceeded to identify himself as a member of NASA, the following is the audio file of the conversation taken from the recovery team’s audio and video surveillance.

[Begin Recording]

AI: Warning: Identify yourselves immediately.

Agent ██████: Uh… My name is… Colonel ██████ of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Earth’s main space exploration organization.

AI: State your purpose for being on this vessel.

Agent ██████: We found this vessel orbiting earth’s moon in a damaged state, we are a recovery team tasked to investigate. Who are you?

AI: I am this ship’s automatic systems management system. Due to not detecting my crew on board, I am now in command of this vessel.

Agent ██████: How did this vessel get damaged like it is.

AI: You are not cleared for that information. This vessel requires materials for repairs. Scanning…

Agent ██████: What are you scanning?

AI: Suitable materials detected, moving to planetary mass.

[End Recording]

The vessel proceeded to move towards earth, once in geostationary orbit, the vessel sent out 3 small mining drones to collect materials. Thankfully these miners chose a remote, uninhabited island to collect it’s materials.

Recovery at that point was simple, making a deal with the Artificial intelligence. The Foundation said they would not dismantle or use the ship in any ill-will way, and the AI said it would assimilate the foundations security clearance into its systems.
