Item #: SCP-5210
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5210 is to be kept in a standard object storage locker in Site-██. Only personnel with Level-2 security clearance or above should have access to SCP-5210. After Incident-01, only Level-2 security personnel or above whose research has been cleared by Dr.██████ should be given access to SCP-52101. At no point should a child under the age of 13 come in contact with SCP-5210.
Description: SCP-5210 is a mobile phone manufactured in ████ by █████. It's appearance and function is for the most part identical to a non-anomalous instance of SCP-5210. The only data stored on the phone are two contacts simply named "1" and "2". All attempts at retrieving the phone number of these contacts have proven fruitless, with further attempts at obtaining the data forbidden after Incident-01. Calling these contacts is, however, possible though not recommended due to the lack of proper understanding of SCP-5210.
Within seconds of a child calling either contact "1" or "2", the parents of the child will both immediately suffer and subsequently die of what appears to be heart attack. Bystanders and monitoring equipment are unable to witness this event due to SCP-5210 causing a distraction and equipment failure for a period of time equal to the time it takes for both parents to die of heart attack.
Due to SCP-5210 nature, experiments and general research have to be first cleared by the Ethics Committee2.
Addendum 5210-1: Initial recovery of SCP-5210
SCP-5210 was first discovered at the home of the █████ family located in [DATA EXPUNGED], New Mexico, USA. The foundation was notified after both parents of the family were found dead of what appeared to be a heart attack. Not a single person or monitoring device was able to witness the death of the parents
Addendum 5210-2: Incident-01
Incident-01 was the result of initial research on SCP-5210 conducted by Dr.███████. He attempted to dump the data contained within the phones memory by disassembling the phone and directly interfacing with the phones memory chip. The data extracted appears to be garbage data with no distinct patterns or any other sort of useful information. As a result of this attempt the phone ceased to function and would no longer turn on despite all attempts. At this point all of the phones anomalous properties were thought to be lost and the object was reclassified as destroyed, though it will continue to remain in foundation custody indefinitely.
Several weeks after the research attempt, foundation agents were contacted of what at first was thought to be another instance of SCP-5210, initially found at the same clothing store as the first encounter with the device. Upon further examination the second instance appears to be exactly the same as the first instance of SCP-5210 in all verifiable ways. Unfortunately it came into foundation custody only after another child came in contact with the device and called contact "2".
