Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX Is to be contained in a small room, measuring 10m wide and long, and 5m tall. Cameras fit with heat-resistant glass are to be mounted in every corner and must be pointed at SCP-XXXX. Walls are to be constructed out of heat-resistant ceramic, measuring approx. 15m thick. This room must be suspended over a deep pit measuring 100m deep, with a radius of 50m. The only access point to the room is a small doorway on one wall of the room, with a long catwalk between the room itself and the edge of the pit. The room shall be suspended by I-beam supports extending from the walls of the pit to the base of the room. Around the room itself, suspended above the pit, should be a multitude of reflective mirrors. These mirrors must be free to move about and must be controlled by a security office located 200m away.
Any instances of SCP-XXXX-A are to be terminated immediately. Any instances of SCP-XXXX-II are to be terminated immediately as well but through high-pressure water cannons. When signs of a/an XXXX-IV event are observed, The mirrors must be aligned to face the walls of the containment room, and cooling cells are to be activated. All personnel is to then evacuate to a range of 200m.
All interactions with SCP-XXXX are to be approved by personnel with Level 4 security clearance.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a 1990s Vegas slot machine decorated with oxidized copper plating, worn and decayed decorations detailing the machine itself, and a missing lever. The machine appears to be completely broken, and any attempt to repair the machine is futile. There are 3 slot wheels, with no apparent slot to insert any kind of bet. Near the bottom of the front panel is a large hole that seems to extend inside the machine itself, and any attempt to explore it further results in [REDACTED]. The slot wheels themselves have worn images of characters that do not match any known language. The corners of the protective glass covering the wheels appear scorched. Any attempt to take apart the machine has been futile, as the screws holding it together are stuck in place.
Every hour on the hour, SCP-XXXX will activate and spin for exactly 10 seconds, before stopping. The slot wheels will sequentially stop from left to right, each one exactly one second after the other. Upon losing the spin, Nothing occurs, and the machine turns off.
Upon spinning and winning with a 3 in a row, the slot machine will then perform one of the observed effects.
Known Anomalous Events:
Event XXXX-I: SCP-XXXX will proceed to teleport randomly to any solid ground within 40m, then remain motionless. The object does not seem to have any specific target or objective when teleporting, and is completely random.
Event XXXX-II: SCP-XXXX will dispense a small coin, hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-II. SCP-XXXX-II Will attempt to roll on its own to the closest human, and stop. Upon direct interaction with the coin, the subject (Now known as SCP-XXXX-A) Will become agitated, attacking any other nearby personnel. The coin will then lose its anomalous properties, disappearing without any sign of it existing. SCP-XXXX-A will attempt to grab the nearest personnel and [REDACTED]. SCP-XXXX-A does not seem to gain any specific properties, and is just as easily terminated as any other human. Closer examination of the coin reveals it to be a quarter in varying degrees of decay, the date on which ranging anywhere from 18██ to 19██. The oldest quarter dispensed by the machine had the year ████ printed on it.
Event XXXX-III: SCP-XXXX will dispense a small, circular stone, hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-III. SCP-XXXX-III can range anywhere from 1cm to 10cm in diameter, and seems to be made of concrete. Upon dispensing, SCP-XXXX-III will immediately begin to heat up in temperature, increasing at a rate of 100 degrees Celsius every minute at first, but slowly increasing in rate as it gets hotter. The only known way to stop the increase in heat is to immediately apply high-pressured water with a temperature below 0 degrees Celsius. Once SCP-XXXX-III has been cooled down to 0 degrees Celsius, the stone itself will lose its anomalous properties and disappear. Dissecting of the non-anomalous stone uncovers that the inside is made of [REDACTED].
Event XXXX-IV: Signs indicating Event XXXX-IV are seen as a gradual ambient increase of light and temperature within 100m. The details of Event XXXX-IV have been restricted to O-5 Personnel.
No other anomalous events have occurred since retrieval. Further Analysis will be conducted in order to determine future events.
