Item #: SCP-6001

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6001 is to be held inside a metal box measuring 1 meter in all dimensions. Before containment, its light source must be disassembled to ensure that the SCP does not activate. Tests must be done off-site.

Description: SCP-6001 is a Bell and Howell projector built circa 1933. From visual inspection, this subject looks like nothing more than a normal antique projector. However when this plays any film made by Georges Méliès the images come to life. This phenomenon also occurs with the film “The Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat.” Due to the large number of these films they are known as SCP-6001-X depending on the test time. Further tests will be required with other films to determine the extent of the SCP’s power.

The first known activity from SCP-6001 was in a pawn shop located in [REDACTED] when the owner played the movie “The Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat'' As the train in the film approached the screen, it became three dimensional comes out from the picture and destroyed a wall on the other side of the room, The steam engine had no conductor or passengers (apparently there were none on the train in the film) but it did have [REDACTED] train cars attached. The steam engine appears to be a fully functional steam engine and has been named SCP-6001-1

Addendum-1: Movie “Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat” Otherwise known as “A Train Comes into a Station.'' After the film played for twelve seconds, a full sized steam engine came through the screen, loaded with [REDACTED] cars attached. No one inside the train or cars. The Train and cars are designated SCP-6001-1.

Addendum-2: Movie “Le Voyage dans la Lune” Otherwise known as “A Trip to the Moon”. Seven minutes and thirty-one seconds into the film, a metal rocket, identical to the one in the movie seen hitting the man on the moon in the eye, burst through the screen. No people found inside, Seems to be made of light sheets of metal, probably the actual prop used in the movie. The rocket is designated SCP-6001-2.

Addendum-3: Movie “The Astronomer's Dream”. One minute and three seconds into the film, a giant face came out of the screen. This face, which appeared to be made of moon rocks, was fully functioning, with a moving mouth, eyes, and eyebrows. The only exception was the lack of a nose on the face. The face has been designated SCP-6001-3. Anything that approaches SCP-6001-3 will be forced inside the mouth and seems to disappear. A D-class was eaten and then thrown back out in pieces including arms, head, legs, and body. Was assumed dead until someone put the parts of the D-class back together (as was done in the movie). He then seemed to wake up in one piece, not remembering anything that had happened to him.

SCP-6001-1 is to be kept inside a separate cell just large enough to contain the head so that it doesn't move. It has been scheduled for Termination when possible.

Addendum-4: Movie “Star Wars: A New Hope”. Movie played though without anything coming through the screen. This proves that only Georges Méliès’s movies can be the ones with the exception of “A Train Comes Into a Station”.

Note from Dr. [REDACTED]: All though you may like the movie Star wars, that was a really bad choice for you to do [REDACTED] And [REDACTED] Yes i do admit that is R2D2 or and X-wing came though that would be cool, Let me remind you the Death Star shoots a planet killing lazer in that movie. This is why we need this SCP to be screened before use.

Addendum-5: Movie “A Man With a Head in a Cabinet '' Movie played for 2 minutes' 14 seconds before projectiles of flesh and bone and other organs seem to have flown out of the screen. All the parts appear to be parts of a giant head, as well as a green eye and blood of A- type. The mass that came out has been designated SCP-6001-4
