Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: Any sample of SCP-XXXX taken by any related specimens is to be contained at (…) in (…). Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, it is to be kept under conditions that extend the half-life of it components. It is strictly forbidden to use SCP-XXXX in testing related to genetic compatibility with organic DNA, compatibility with anomalous genetic samples and the creation of genetic anomalies. Scientists may request testing of SCP-XXXX regarding durability of, duplication of, properties of and consumption of SCP-XXXX or any existing entities made in part or entirely of SCP-XXXX.
If any unauthorized personnel or non-Foundation persons are in possession of SCP-XXXX, the sample will be immediately seized by force and these persons will be amnesticized. If any instance of SCP-XXXX is confirmed in a biological specimen, in part or in full, the specimen must be contained in a nature that accommodates the specimen for behavioral and biochemical study. Only select researchers are to have direct access to SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a genetic anomaly defined as DNA made up entirely of metal atoms and as a result is completely made up of organometallic compounds. There is no adenine, guanine, thymine nor cytosine in SCP-XXXX, instead it is composed of (…). It is able to sequence itself in such a way to create organisms, and it can be spliced into DNA that is entirely organic. When spliced into organic DNA, it behaves similarly to the surrounding DNA, and does not attempt to convert itself nor the surrounding DNA to conform. SCP-XXXX can even undergo duplication and other processes similar to that of organic DNA.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX was discovered when SCP[EXPUNGED] was tested for genetic anomalies. A sample of SCP-XXXX
