Staff are to keep entity contained within space suitable to its current size. There should remain a permanent light fixture that illuminates the entirety of the containment area at all times in order to prevent the entity's explosive growth when introduced to darkness. In the event of a power outage, two standby generators must be used to ensure that the light fixture does not lose power until the main site's power is restored. When replacing the light fixture's bulb or performing general maintenance on the fixture, it is required that a temporary light fixture be introduced to the containment area until work on area's permanent light fixture has been completed.

True to fashion with similarly troublesome to contain entities, it has been theorized that a potential breach in the containment area's lighting would lead to the drastic restructuring of required procedures depending entirely on the time the entity is exposed to the dark. While exposed to darkness, entity has been observed distorting temporal space to varying degrees. Understanding of this effect is to be left shallow as further testing would result in rapid size alteration and the entity's possible escape from containment. With this in mind, it is important to acquire permission from the proper channels as any unsanctioned testing will result in severe consequences for all participating individuals.

Current procedure allows for windows along the walls of the entity's containment area. Entity has been found to not require any sustenance, temperature control, or oxygen. In order to reduce the likelihood of a possible escape from containment, it is required that the containment area be vacuum sealed in an effort to reduce the entity's mobility.

• Upon perceiving the presence of a bird within a certain range, whether the bird is anomalous in nature or not, the snake will become visibly agitated and try to escape its containment in order to presumably attack the bird
• When the snake is observed to shed its skin, the skin becomes sentient and acts as a separate entity nearly identical to the original snake except for it being a tenth of the size in scale.
• This new entity will react to light by coiling itself into a compact ball that soon transforms into a floating orb of varying elemental composition.
• The new orbs carry a weak gravitational force that is seemingly unaffected by the introduction of stronger gravitational waves
• After the entities become orbs, they move to encircle the snake whereupon the snake swallows the orbs and appears to dance in joy
