Special Containment Procedure: Areas identified to contain SCP-xxxx are to be isolated and monitored at all times. Any human or SCP-xxxx attempt to get in or out of the containment areas is to be terminated on sight.

SCP-xxxx1 and SCP-xxxx-1 are contained in standard humanoid containment cells. People who have contacted any instance of SCP-xxxx or SCP-xxxx-1 are given a weekly psychological test and monitored behavior for five years. No people with psychological trauma happened within five years and Class D personnel are not allowed to contact SCP-xxxx or SCP-xxxx-1 in any circumstances.

Due to the indistinguishable nature and widespread of SCP-xxxx-1, there are no known methods of effectively containing them. The only practical solution is to investigate everyone in the cities where SCP-xxxx are found and contain all the suspects, the rest will be amnesticizied afterward. If the numbers of suspects are too high to be contained, quarantine of the whole cities will be taken into consideration.

People who possess knowledge regards of SCP-xxxx other than those that have accessed this file or file from other Groups Of Interest are contained as an SCP-xxxx-1 until there is evidence proving they have never contacted with an SCP-xxxx or SCP-xxxx-1 instance.

Description: SCP-xxxx is a sapient simian-like species that can increase their population by turning people into SCP-xxxx-1. SCP-xxxx instances possess an anomalous strength, combat skill, regeneration, and intelligence. They are 1.3 to 1.7 m in height and weigh approximately 60 to 80 kg. The skeletal structure and physiology of SCP-xxxx have no significant differences from ordinary hominids other than having a monkey-like tail. They're especially similar to gorillas, chimpanzees, and humans. Molecular genetics studies showed that SCP-xxxx's DNA is closely related to monkeys nearly as much as apes. SCP-xxxx instances refer to their kind as Monke and SCP-xxxx-1 as Manke.

SCP-xxxx possesses a strong regeneration capacity they require multiple bullet hits in the head or losing multiple vital organs to be killed and can regrow any part of the body except the brain. SCP-xxxx instances are incredibly strong, an instance has been observed bending steel, some are able to break concrete and kill humans in one strike. This property makes them very good at climbing, running and swimming, or any other physical activity.

SCP-xxxx intelligence level is somewhere around humans, they can read and speak human languages fluently, using complex tools and weapons. They can also control vehicles such as jeeps or helicopters. An instance was given a standardized IQ test and measured to have an IQ of 141 (which is genius levels). It is not sure that this is because SCP-xxxx is more intelligent than human or this instance is excessively intelligent.

The main property of SCP-xxxx is that they can turn humans into SCP-xxxx-1. SCP-xxxx-1 instances display behaviors and thought the same as an ordinary human in every single way. An anomalous property of SCP-xxxx-1 is that they can turn themselves into SCP-xxxx at any time. It is unknown if there's any requirement for this because records of SCP-xxxx-1 turning into SCP-xxxx are very limited. It is believed that most if not all SCP-xxxx were humans at some points.

An SCP-xxxx-1 can also turn other humans into SCP-xxxx-1. Due to the widespread of SCP-xxxx and this property, the amount of SCP-xxxx-1 is believed to be extremely high. However, it is not clear whether SCP-xxxx-1 will have to transform otherwise lose the ability after a certain time or they can keep it for the whole life.

Some documents indicate that SCP-xxxx can produce offsprings, although, there's no evidence proving they do. SCP-xxxx maintain their population by converting people into SCP-xxxx-1 then convince them to join. In nature, upon contacting a human, SCP-xxxx instances typically greet and talk with the person politely. They try to have a conversation with their target about various topics to know if the subject has the potential to become an SCP-xxxx. If they feel the subject is suitable, they will turn the person into SCP-xxxx-1 and offer them to become SCP-xxxx. In case of the subject isn't suitable or rejects their offer, they will end the conversation after a while and ask the subject to keep the secret about them.

SCP-xxxx lives in groups with the numbers of members vary from one to more than five hundred members. Groups of SCP-xxxx are mostly located in North America, 30% of the identified groups in the world are found in the USA and Canada. They can also be found in some parts of Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America, none have been in Australia. A big group will split into smaller groups when big enough and evade detection making it much harder to contain bigger groups. Groups of SCP-xxxx are divided into five main types based on their population:

  • Type I: From 1 to 5 instances. SCP-xxxx from this are usually humans traveling to a new place before transforming. This type is fairly easy to control but they turned into type II most of the time before getting detected. Alone instances are sometimes referred to by SCP-xxxx as Wandering Monke.
  • Type II: From 6 to 20 instances. This type of group is very popular, it can be found almost everywhere on Earth. These groups are rather passive, not really hard to contain but still have a high risk of causing containment breaches.
  • Type III: From 21 to 100 instances. This type is still fairly common but not as much as Type II. These groups are much more aggressive than Type II when attacked. It is proven ineffective to contain these groups, neutralization is recommended.
  • Type IV: From 101 to 500 instances. This type is very rare, they can only be found in the Middle East, Canada, China, India, the USA, and West Africa. These groups are extremely dangerous, they may take down a whole site if they consider it as their enemy. They will quickly turn into Type V if left uncontrolled.
  • Type V: 501 instances or above. There's only one group of this type has been identified. This type poses a huge threat for humanity, if they keep expanding at their usual rate, they will quickly surpass humans and result in an SK Class-Dominance Shift Scenario within a few years2. These groups are nearly impossible to control due to their size.

Interview Log - xxxx-01

Interviewee: SCP-xxxx-A

Interviewer: Dr. Murren

Forewords: The interview followed a day after the recovery of SCP-xxxx-01. The aim of the interview is to identify the anomalous property and the origin of SCP-xxxx-01.

<Begin log>

Dr. Murren: Good afternoon SCP-xxxx3, what would you like us to call you?

SCP-xxxx-A: Nice to meet you, doctor. My name was Michael Deston, but I'm not him anymore. You can call me however you would like to.

Dr. Murren: Please tell us what exactly you are.

SCP-xxxx-A: I'm a Monke, don't be confused with monkey. It's spelled M-O-N-K-E. Monke is an intelligent species just like humans, they all look similar to me.

Dr. Murren: So, you're saying that there are others like you?

SCP-xxxx-A: You're right. There are a lot of Monke like me.

Dr. Murren: Okay, tell us more about your anomalous property.

SCP-xxxx-A: To humans' perspective, it is abnormal to see a talking animal. I'm inhumanly strong as well. I don't think I have any other special ability.

Dr. Murren: Are all Monkes as smart as you? Or you got this power at some point in life?

SCP-xxxx-A: I'm afraid I can't tell you about that. I can't talk about any information regards my kind to strangers.

Dr. Murren: Can you explain why?

SCP-xxxx-A: It's complicated, I don't wanna talk about it at the moment. Maybe, I'll talk about it one day.

Dr. Murren: Thank you for your collaboration, we can end now. Do you have any questions?

SCP-xxxx-01: No, thanks. See you next time.

<End log>

Closing Statement: SCP-xxxx-A was returned to the containment cell. The foundation started to seek other SCP-xxxx instances.

Addendum xxxx-2: After two weeks in containment, SCP-xxxx-A became increasingly upset and refused to be interviewed. It appeared to be uncomfortable while talking to people and threatened to kill them when they mentioned its past or related topics.

When it was told that it would be harmed if it didn't obey the staff, it claimed that it was able to get out of the cell and kill every single one of them if want to. It also claimed that its friends outside would find and destroy the whole site.

Interview Log - xxxx-05

Interviewee: SCP-xxxx-A

Interviewer: D-37944

Forewords: Because of the aggressive nature of SCP-xxxx-A, D-37944 was sent to interview it. The interview was oversighted and monitored by Dr. Kream.

<Begin log>

D-37944: Good morning, SCP-xxxx.

SCP-xxxx-A: Why are you even here just to ask the same question five times?

D-37944: I didn't want to be here in the first place and I also don't want to talk.

Dr. Kream to D-37944: D-37944, focus on the interview.

D-38944: Why are you so mad recently?

SCP-xxxx-A: Isn't it obvious? And stop asking the same questions all over again.

D-78944: Okay, here's a new one. What makes you think you can escape by yourself?

SCP-xxxx-A: You asked as if you thought I would answer. I have a better question. What makes you think you can cage me here permanently.

D-37944: You can't even get out of this room.

SCP-xxxx-A: But I can kill you. Nevermind. Come over here.

Dr. Kream to D-37944: Listen to it.

D-37944 proceed to approach SCP-xxxx-01

SCP-xxxx-A: [whispered something to D-37944]

Dr. Kream: The interview has ended. D-37944 please leave the containment cell.

<End log>

Closing Statement: After got out, D-37944 was asked about what SCP-xxxx-01 whispered to her. D-37944 said that SCP-xxxx-01 had claimed to place bombs at someplace in the site and would detonate them if the foundation didn't grant what it wanted. Security guards were commanded to search for the bombs.

Addendum xxxx-4: Incident xxxx-A
Five hours after the interview in addendum xxxx-3, Dr. ███ was found to be murdered with a 9 mm bullet shot in the chest. The murderer was identified to be D-37944 and there was someone else with her. She was seen trying to escape from the site on and camera along with Adrian Beckham, the security guard who escorted her to her cell after the interview.

They were caught near the site fifteen minutes later, then retrieved to the site. Adrian Beckham, at this point, was an SCP-xxxx-1 instance, turned into SCP-xxxx, and killed everyone in the interview (see below). D-37944 was identified to be the intermediate spreading SCP-xxxx-1 inside the site with SCP-xxxx-A being the source.

An hour after that, 54 instances of SCP-xxxx raided site-488 along with 9 instances of SCP-xxxx-1 transformed inside. Some of them use a helicopter, some use guns, the others engaged in melee combat. With assistance from other sites, SCP-xxxx was forced to retreat. The fight lasted for 136 minutes, resulted in the containment breach of SCP-xxxx-01, death of 74 personnel, 260 was injured, 31 Class D personnel became missing with only 9 SCP-xxxx instances were killed.

After the incident, SCP-xxxx was reclassified as Keter (formerly Euclid) with an update in the containment procedure.

Interview Log xxxx-R5

Interviewee: Adrian Beckham

Interviewer: Dr. Victor

Forewords: This is an audio record of an interview a few minutes prior to the accident. The purpose of the interview is to understand Beckham's action.

<Begin log>

Dr. Victor: Do you want to say anything to justify your actions.

Adrian Beckham: There are no needs to do that, I'm just a person doing the good things.

Dr. Victor: What do you mean by "the right things".

Adrian Beckham: I give freedom to people who need it, how would that be anything wrong?

Dr. Victor: D-37944 killed three people, taking their everything, she doesn't deserve to be free. We are sacrificing people for the greater good.

Adrian Beckham: Ah yes, "the greater good", the classic excuse. [shouting] She wasn't the only thing. What about SCP-xxxx-01? If you can sacrifice Class D personnel to contain it, why couldn't I sacrifice some researchers go save it?

Dr. Victor: We need to understand how dangerous is that thing first.

Adrian Beckham: Even if you already understood, you wouldn't free it. I've seen many things, I know more than you, Doc. I know really well how this place operates, I know where's your house, I know how did you get here. In case you want to know how, that's because I worked for the Chaos Insurgency.

Dr. Victor: If you don't want to say anything meaningful, the interview ends here. Your punishment is going to be judged tomorrow at 6 am. The guards will escort you to your cell.

Adrian Beckham: [stood up] Wow! Ignore me? You don't think that I'm so helpless that I have to listen to gibberish like you, do you?

Dr. Victor: Calm down or we'll have to use force.

Adrian Beckham: I don't need to obey you, I'm not a weakling.

Addendum xxxx-5: Below are the decrypted version of Nicholas Wright's diary which was written during the time he was staying with SCP-xxxx. Wright was a member of MTF-Upsilon-61 ("Forest Fighter").

This diary is encrypted to prevent Monkes from reading it

12/10/2020
Day 2 with Monkes

My name is Nicholas Wright, I am currently living with some SCP-xxxx, I'll refer to them as Monke. Why am I here? It started when I was doing a mission to study Group-KV which is the largest group of Monke in North America. Our team, MTF-Upsilon-61 was able to locate and circumscribe the area where Monkes live in only 20 km2, in the Salmon-Challis National Forest. I'll tell you as much information about them as I could.

Yesterday morning, we went into the area to investigate Monke's behaviors and capture one of them if we could. We found a Monke eating an apple on the tree and started watching it. Unfortunately, it found out we were there and announced other Monkes. The captain ordered us to shoot it, that was the most stupid idea possible but they did anyway. Obviously, I didn't want to die, so I ran away. As expected, three Monkes easily defeated our entire nine people team. While running, I slipped and fell into a cave, hit my head, and blacked out.

I woke up with two Monkes next to me. I had paralysis and couldn't move or feel anything below my torso, although I still considered that I was lucky not dying there. I noticed that the room is completely normal, just like a bedroom of a human, they also have the heat. Jason, one of them started to speak:

- Why did you come here and attack us?

- We are just doing missions, I told them not to attack your friends but they didn't listen to me. - I replied.

- Well, we knew it's not your fault, we just wanted to know why. Would you like to go with us? Your condition will be cured if you become a Monke.

- No, I at least not yet. I still have a life, a career as a person who protects the world, I need to come back.

- Okay, then. We respect your decision. We will take care of you until you can go. Wish you get better soon.

After that, I went asleep until the next morning. When I woke up, Jason was already there. He asked me for my name and told me his name was Jason. I could barely move my hand, all I did lied on the bed, doing nothing but talking to the Monkes. I was introduced to a friend of Jason, Derek then we talked about our past. I was the only child of my family, both my parents were MTF members. My mom was killed during a containment breach of an SCP, my dad retired after 45 years of serving the foundation.

Jason was a homeless person with a different name, he doesn't want to reveal it. When he was 34, he was falsely accused of kidnapping while helping a child finding her parents. While in prison, he met Derek who was imprisoned for drug dealing. Before Derek got caught, he had met a Monke who died a few months ago, Derek decided to find more people to become Monkes in prison. Jason and Derek turned into Monkes and escaped while no one was watching. It's been more than 30 years since then, Jason told me there had been only 5 people here at that time, he and Derek were one of the first citizens here. We talked about other stuff and the history of this place.

In the afternoon, I feel my vertigo has reduced by a lot. Then I wrote this. I still haven't been eating anything since I came here.
